I wonder how many of those 300 will be at the meeting in Rochester?
I wonder how many will actually get paid, since we have heard many ref horror stories LOL
And why have the meeting so soon before the season starts? The season is days away, and now theyre having a meeting, Tommy Chi, your the man!

The only thing these "officials" need to meet about is to make sure that they can use the following item:

IS it time for more ABA ref stories? Im saving a lot of what I have for personal reasons , but I may let a few out for laughs.
BUT, Some of the refs at the PBL tryouts were former ABA refs and I will post their comments as well.

THE ABA does NOT hire the refs...when you hire you pay. The ABA recruits and the teams pay them. Again ABA spin..... November 4th? why not do the meeting at half-time of the first game.
WHy not do it like the PBL did ...had 20 refs in Chicago and they took turns officiating the try -out games. Then they are evaluated. The PBL will pay the refs, not the teams.

I wonder how much Chichester is going to charge teams for the 3-D lights this year!!! Oh, did I say that out loud?

Those numbers on the right hand side of Chucks eye test is also about as close to legal tender as the checks these guys get.
I think A1 had some guy's stories on here about refs driving 7 hours and showing up to the gym only to be told the game was canx.

Did i ever tell you the story of how Montreal's first owner had her Hummer Repo'd in Montreal due to unpaid tickets but then the bank wanted it also for missed payments?

Boy the poor madamoiselle!!!!
She is a two time loser.
Mistake #1 - Invest in this league
Mistake #2 - Park in front of HS gym/warehouse/old airplane hanger with an ABA game playing and have your Hummer repo'd.
Repo men all over Montreal, in fact North America must know that if you want to find soon-to-be bankrupts simply start at whatever premises is having anything to do with the ABA

Chichester charges each ABA team a "ref registration" fee or something like that. Its 500 dollars per team per season. Would you believe that more than half the teams didnt pay the fee? I heard a lot of teams didnt pay, now I know why, they dont have the money.
Rec league at its finest THE ABA.
ABA ref story:
At an ABA game. One of the refs lost a contact on the floor, couldnt see and didnt have a spare set. He lost the contact in the first quarter. heres the best part>>>> he made the most foul calls that night. Only in the ABA !!
Source>> from a ref that was there !!!
