Flame move to Scottsdale

What a great move. SCC is a better venue and I will believe that the Flame will draw more of a crowd with the concentration on Scottsdale. Nice move, Stephen Moss Kelly,

Although the move will make it much tougher for me to see the Flame play, I'm glad to hear it. Last year's venue(s) didn't really work out well. Hopefully the Flame will make some in roads and make something happen attendence-wise. I'm rooting for them.

I've always thought that Mesa/Chandler/Gilbert would support a local semi-pro team. Now we get to see how they do in Scottsdale. Good luck!

East Valley Tribune noted the move on 9/19: "• The Phoenix Flame of the International Basketball League are changing their name and their venue for the 2008 season.

The Flame will play all 10 home games at Scottsdale Community College and be known as the Scottsdale Flame. The IBL season tips off in March"

Wasn't there suppose to be another team the Arizona Lightning joining the league next year
