Ever since I saw that PBL video clip from Bluchipz.com on YouTube, I decided to see what other ABA clips are out there.
Here's one from the Texas Tycoons:

Note the judicious amount of "vintage" (1967-76) ABA footage as compared to the "modern" (2003-07) clips used in this promotional tape.
Here's one from the Buffalo Silverbacks:

I don't know what's more irritating - the Kid Rock backing track, the rows and rows of empty seats at the Buffalo State arena, or the slow motion footage intercut with pre-game warmups.
Here's a Strong Island Sound YouTube clip:

Looks like most of the footage was culled from their 2006 Great Eight tournament run, as well as a game against the Quebec Kebekwa (with those orange and green uniforms, arguably the worst color scheme in the history of professional sports).
A Maryland Nighthawks "buzzer-beater" game:

Okay, it's nice to see back-to-back halfcourt shots, but you gotta check out the comments section where people are trying to discuss 6-point plays and whatnot.
And from the Fort Wayne's Best "affiliates" program...

Video sorta looks like it was smuggled out of Indiana, with all those wavy broadcast lines on it.

Concerning the SI video clip, there was material from the 2005-06 Great 8, as well as from games this past season versus not only Quebec City, but Newark and Maryland, too.
Promoting your team on sites such as YouTube is a good outlet that does not cost anything. Can the clips be better? I suppose so. But it is a good thing and the teams that are making that effort to succeed are putting time into doinf things such as this.

This has to be the biggest show of genius ever. Get guys to buy a franchise, they lose money, the guy that sold the frachise to you gets a million or more dollars by selling the legaue.
And what do we see on the posts here? Oh look we have a van, oh look we are on youtube, oh look we have pretty dancers... LOL
Hey guys....the emperor ( CEO) has no clothes....LOL. Never mind
two of the clips. The Silverbacks looked to have a decent crowd at BSU. I guess they were playing Montreal, I'm not sure. But it sounded more like a music video than one of promotion.
I also viewed the Sounds clip. It must have been early in the season as not as many fans, but it also looked like a music video.
After watching Buffalo's, I was able to see a brief video of the Xplosion at Indiana, which was more like a cam video only without announcers.

That clip in the thread of the Buffalo game, there was like 600 there that night, but 500-600 people in a 4000+ seat arena looks like nothing
Ill try and get some pics of this past season and if I do, ill post em up
Here's one I came across that's pretty good. It's Vermont's coach doing an ad for laser surgery. He's actually not a bad actor:

And here's video of Dennis Rodman when he was playing against the Bellingham Slam. I like the comments arguing about whether or not he's washed up:

A1- Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and you are no exception. Some folks choose to use that opinion in certain methods that may not seem acceptable to the masses. I am not one of them. You have a right to say anything that you choose to, and your pointing out the inefficiencies in the ABA should be commended and not condemned. If you like it or not, you are the 'voice of the fan.' And the problems that you post should be viewed and attempted to be corrected.
With that said, I feel that a promotional van, posting videos on the web and using your dance team to your advantage are not the type of things that should be singled out in a negative way. For all the bad that has occured, these are some of the the good.

you are correct, but in the scheme of things, there are major-major problems in this league and the owners seem to ignore them. Not a sound business practice. You need a solid league first then everything falls into place.

Fair enough. I cannot disagree with you stating that a solid league is necessary. But if each individual club does their job properly, then the whole will be stronger.
Not reading into your comments, I am sure that there are reachable solutions. If you had the proverbial 'suggestion box' at hand, what would be your biggest pet peeve?
you have the right attitude about if each owner doing their job and taking responsibility, S.I.. But the concern is those who do not and don't learn anything and never will. This is why I hope the Sound join a more concrete league soon. You and your supporters deserve it. I hope your supporters grow so that you can afford to do that.
