Oh my a racist comment from Corning, not good.I think I will try to get the registration list from the PBL for the CHicago try-out and mail a copy of Cornings comment to them all. Maybe some of those " Iverson types" have lawyers as friends.
what a thing to say for an owner,,, but then again its an ABA owner.Par for the course.
the best stuff about the talk at the try outs about the ABA is yet to come !!

Don't you have funds to raise?

James I suggest you really shut up.
First off. Im not even going to bother to pick up a cell phone so i can have Allen Iverson himself read the crap that you just wrote (Yes I have his number among with many others). Second of all it shows how much of a retard racist you are.
I suggest you shut up, raise some funds and be a real man and owner and not someone that comes to bad mouth another league (I cant beleive this idiot keeps on doing it). I wonder how much bank you really have.
So you go and associate guys as Allen Iverson drug dealer types? Allen Iverson is a trillion more times man than you. Is he a drug dealer? NO.
I suggest you do like Carmelo Anthony did in a street PSA to all snitches. Go look it up because trust me it may just happen to you.

Umm... dude...
Don't you have ticket arrangements for Disney World to take care of, rather than posting malarkey like this on a message board?
Or maybe you could have your pool cleaner ABA06er make those posts for you in the future.
What a clown.

Lets make a BIG ASSUMPTION that some player said that.
Why would an owner of a "professional " team take the time to get on line to type that?
Because:
1. The team is NOT a professional team.
2. The owner has some obsessive problem with the PBL?
Very sad situation.

i agree completely with you. that shouldn't have been put on here but...
HIM saying it and HIM quoting someone are two different things. people quote other people on these forums all the time...while it was distasteful and stupid, he was quoting someone...

More correctly, he SAID he was quoting someone.
Credibility and Corning do not go hand in hand based upon past actions...
The thing is, he may be 100% correct, but it is difficult to take him at his word. If, somehow, it was proven that the quote was fabricated, he would blame it on the paperboy or pizza delivery guy or someone else.
But, he brought the added skepticism on by himself...

Thats a very good point ABAREDWHITEBLUE. I must admit, I read it like Abie10 reads it. James is indicating he heard from (the) a player(s) that he cut(t) saying that about the other players.
Irregardless of how I see what Corning has written I think ABAREDWHITEBLUE is onto something when he says "he SAID he was quoting someone" is a big difference than quoting someone.
I also think we are missing a larger issue (in ABA terms) of was the Cometas owner at a PBL camp?
Lets say A1 is correct................
1/ the owner could be looking to jump to the PBL
2/ the owner could be scouting for his own team and worked out a invite
3/ the owner could be looking to see how to run an event like this himself.
Lets say A1 is incorrect..............
1/ A1 heard wrong
2/ A1 made it up
3/ A1's source made an error and A1 passed it along in good faith.
Whatever the answer is I fall back to ABAREDWHITEBLUE's assessment of Corning. I highly doubt A1 is going to dream up some ridiculous excuse like the neighbors kid who mows his lawn has been secretly logging onto his computer, then posting on OSC as A1 in a misguided but well intentioned campaign to help A1.

How was what Corning said racist??? He said drug dealer and Allen Iverson in the same breath so you all assume that he was making a racist comment?? Not sure where THAT is coming from, but its like the people that state "I am not racist, I have plenty of black friends". Thats racist in and of itself. Get off your high horses folks and quit being so literal. I HIGHLY doubt he is a racist, a term that is thrown around much too often these days to try an score points with the politcally correct crowd.

But is when Allen Iverson a drug dealer. And many of "his type" are not drug dealers. I think many of you need to really live in the belly of the beast to learn where and how people are .
