As much as I've railed on arena and indoor ball lately, this is more of a Vegas issue than an Arenaball issue.
For instance, the ECHL Wranglers only played 6 Saturdays last year... and 10 Tuesdays. Tuesdays are not a draw anywhere.
Reason: Orleans wants to book acts that get MORE people into their hotels, MOSTLY ON WEEKENDS. Hockey and Arena Football only do that in small doses, if that. Concerts and shows do that in far greater numbers. Fights might do that. The Orleans actually hosts HS basketball finals, which probably does get more business (though I doubt all the HS fans want to pay $170/night on Friday and Saturday).
So go the Gladiators. Down the road, not too far, I expect the same of the Wranglers, unless the team finds some truly innovative marketing ideas.
