Can someone post a link or give a breakdown of whatever happened to the KC Knights, on another post someone mentioned Joe screwed the owner over and somehow I'm not surprised.

They were pulling in decent crowds the first couple of years and Joe actually made a great decision in having the championship played a'la NCAA tournament style and simply did it in KC.

Lenexa, Kansas. Jim Clark, Owner, and Bob Sundvold, General Manager and Head Coach, of the Kansas City KNIGHTS, announced today that the KNIGHTS will not be playing basketball for the 2005/2006 Season in the American Basketball Association.
Clark stated, “Having played at Kemper, Municipal and Hale Arena(s) and Johnson County Community College, it is clear the KNIGHTS need a venue that provides our fans the amenities of a large suburban arena. We have decided to wait until a new Suburban Arena has started which we anticipate to occur in early 2006. Once the new arena “breaks ground’, the KNIGHTS will play at an interim facility for one season.”
