Not much difference between this Ask the CEO:

Question from Lloyd C, Houston (and others): When will you officially be ready to sign up for gettting the PlayON! Sports webcasts of the ABA games this season?
Answer: Lloyd et al. First, thank you for signing up to request more information. (Lloyd. I noticed you were one of the earliest people to sign up. Much appreciated). PlayON! Sports, a division of Turner Broadcasting, is working on the system now and hopes to be ready by early October. In the meantime, we are asking fans to register for more information by clicking on the PlayON! Sports/ABA Vision banner on the ABA web site (www.abalive.com). As soon as we have complete ordering details, PlayON! Sports/ABA Vision will then contact all of the people who have registered indiividually and explain exactly how to order. It appears that we will be including nearly 300 games in our ABA Vision package. Fans will be able to see the excitement of the ABA worldwide and virtually every ABA team will be included in the ABA Vision schedule. Please encourage everyone you know to register for more information about ABA Vision. If you have a question, email conniejoenewman@aol.com.

ASK THE CEO - ABA WEBCASTS?

14-Aug-2007
Question from Ryan C, Detroit: "When will we officially be able to sign up for the ABA games that will be webcast this year?"

Answer: Ryan. Thanks for the question. The response to the news about the webcasts has been tremendous. We knew that there was great interest in the ABA and its unique rules which make the game very fast, very high-scoring and very exciting. And we are very pleased that the ABA will have worldwide exposure thanks to our live webcasts of ABA action through PlayON Sports, a division of Turner Broadcasting. What we're asking fans to do now is to Click the PlayON banner on the ABA Web site and fill in the form. It is not an order form, just an information form. We will then contact each person individually with the exact details of the program and the various plans that will be available, including individual games, monthly plans, and season plans. One thing you can be sure of, like the ABA, it will be fan-friendly and affordable - what we believe will be the best sports and entertainment value available anywhere.

I guess the voices in Joe's head must be impatient...

We get it Joe....."PlayOn is a division of Turner Broadcasting"

"PlayOn is a division of Turner Broadcasting"
"PlayOn is a division of Turner Broadcasting"
"PlayOn is a division of Turner Broadcasting"
"PlayOn is a division of Turner Broadcasting"

My God....does he have to preface EVERYTIME he mentions this deal that they are a "division of Turner Broadcasting"?

I bet anything if you ask anyone at Turner Broadcasting who some of their programming clients are, the ABA or Joe Newman would NEVER be mentioned. I guarantee that the "pride" of this deal does not go both ways.

My son delivers the Chicago Tribune, who own WGN TV, the Tribune Tower in Chicago, as well as the Chicago Cubs. Since the Tribune newspaper has a sports section, my son works for the Chicago Cubs. See how easy this is? Whats the matter with you people ??!!

It's the "Ray Charles is God" logical fallacy.

God is love.
Love is blind.
Ray Charles is blind.
Therefore, Ray Charles is God.

QED.

Question from Lloyd C, Houston

again Joe, you are fooling nobody, I mean NOBODY with these questions. Just to humour us a little and mix things up how about using a suburb of one of the major cities once in awhile.

Every ^&%%$() ASK THE CEO is from _______ (insert common male name here) in ________ (insert any major American city here). Try using a female name, try using a suburb.

If this was a real ASK THE CEO we'd see questions like this.............

Mother W from Duluth Georgia asks "wheres my money?"
Chris P from Calgary asks "when can we expect payment for"
Kristine Z from White Plains asks "why aren't you answering the phone unless you respond to my email I will contact my attorney"
Gus P from Waltham Mass asks "how many teams do you have"
Jerald S from Eau Claire asks "wheres my money"
Pedro-Luis M from Chula Vista asks "if you need help sneaking Tijuana across the border my friend knows a guy who............."
Kevina S from Cell Block A asks "when I get outta here, I'd better get my cash"
Andrei A from Sarastoa asks "wheres my money"
Cleveland Gary from Tampa asks "you wanna partner with the NIFL"

Actually its absolutely nothing like that, because Ray Charles isn't a division of God. Play on is indeed a division of Turner Sports.

If your going to analyze everything posted on here, you should find some mental help. You have no idea of what rec-league means.

You have no idea of what rec-league means.

What are you talking about?

No, not even a rec league.

A rec-leaque! (Rolls off the tongue, doesn't it.)

You can't deny that the ABA has earned this reputation AND perception (from the "Perception Is Reality" handbook). People do follow crowds.
