Has anyone heard anything more about this actually coming true? I read last year something about 2007 or 2008.

While there are SOME existing facilities in certain countries...

...well...

I actually want to see this attempted, just to see what happens when MLB tries to insist on a European city funding a stadium. Will the reaction be a highly snotty brushoff, or will it be more hooligan in nature?

Seriously, I doubt there's enough facilities to pull this off.

both italy and the netherlands operate pro leagues so it may be feasable at least in those two nations along with greece since they will have a field from the 2004 olympics.
