Hope this does not affect the Sox in Reno.

It will. If they're opening in 2009 (which I have serious doubts), then don't be surprised if next year is the last for the Silver Sox. Don't be surprised if they're gone sooner.

Is that right across the street from the Siena? I can't believe how close it is to Virginia Street. That stuns me. I think that's good, and it's overall not a bad location (given the idea that part of the reason the city does this is to start eradicating some of the downtown blight). It's also a relatively (I mean relative to the rest of the PCL) VERY conservative attendance number they're using. Time will tell on this one.

Only 10,000 seats for a new AAA baseball stadium? That sounds pretty low.

I honestly think Reno is the wrong town to move a AAA team to. They couldn't support a Single A team in the California League.

Onebetter,
I agree, Reno/Tahoe has too many other attractions for the entertainment dollar to expect 5000 a game.

Sounds about right to me. Gives the team a legitimate shot at weekend sellouts.
