I just saw the St. Louis Rotweillers web site http://www.stlouisrots.com. It looks good, but appearently the ownership is all in Kentucky. I also saw no information about the venue. Does anyone know where the Rots will play. Also, who knows which teams have sites up?

If I had to guess that the Rots will play at Forest Park Community College, where they have their tryouts.
Here are some team websites. :)

On the Las Vegas website there are two sections with text. They are....
"LV RATTLERS SECHDULE "
and
"JOIN THE TEAM
Announcing the romation of Las Vegas most exciting basketball youth-team ever."
which finishes with
"Click below to become apart of it!", not a part of it!!!!!!
Three TERRIBLE errors on their website. I realize they want to get a presence on the website, but this is worse than nothing at all.
Welcome to the ABA.

Firstly, I can't believe teams are still comming into the league. I'm glad Chicago has a team now - even though it hasn't even been announced on www.abalive.com, but how will it be possible for them to do any kind of marketing?
If anyone finds a web site, please let me know.

ABA teams do marketing? I can tell you Chicago will be no farther behind than Motown. I would bet if you surveyed Metro Detroit at least 90% of the population does not know that the team even exists (assuming it really does). Actually, that's a pretty conservative number. Its probably in the high 90's.

"Looks" being the key word. Sure it is more dressed up than it was before but, if you put perfume on a pig, its still a pig! Even though I'm not from Missouri, I will take the "show me" approach to this whole thing. I was a fan of the original Detroit Dogs, but I wasn't going to chase them from high school gym to junior high school gym.
I still have little faith that the (Detroit or Motown - different parts of the site use each) Jammers will ever take the floor. This updated site gives no more info than before. There is still no way to find out anything about them. The contact info just says "Detroit, MI". I'm guessing my season ticket deposit would get returned if I put that on the envelope! The phone number is a Wayne County area code, but the fax number is an Oakland County area code. :? Wouldn't a properly run business have their fax and phone in the same location and not in two different counties? Still no website. Still no coaching staff. Still no ticket info. Still no schedule. Still no arena info. And a free Yahoo e-mail account as the franchise e-mail address!
Nearly 1/3 of the teams do not have websites, 6 don't have a logo, and 2 don't even have a name (Harlem & Vancouver)! The single tackiest thing I see on the league site is the "Reserve A Market" link. Does a truely professional league need to have such a thing on a website that is intended for fan use?
"Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you too can now own your very own ABA franchise." I'm sure the franchise Joe Blow starts up in BFE will fit perfectly into the ABA's expansion plans. After all they have been looking at that location all along, wherever that location is!!!!!

Don't forget, Joe Blow is a well known coach in BFE, and BFE will be glad to have Joe Blow and the BFE YeahRights for some fast paced, exciting ABA basketball.

Juarez is the only team on the ball when it comes to marketing as it offers plenty. Fresno Fire by far have the best website. Top notch. Teams should hurry and get their merchandise on the webpage shelves for eager collectors to gobble up as keepsakes and collectibles.

Huh? Here in Las Vegas we've now had TWO ABA teams.. (Slam and Rattlers), and I've never seen an ounce of merchandise from either team. And allegedly the Las Vegas Rattlers are going to have a second season.

Here is the latest from the ABA:
http://www.abalive.com/news/releases/?newsid=2004091006001
This league becomes more of a joke every day. If nothing else it should go down as a study in how use press releases to make every lemon into lemonade.
They are going from 6 divisions to 3, with each having 12 or 13 teams (sure they will :) ). They say "We think it makes more sense and will please the fans" and "With six divisions, we had teams playing each other too many times." Wasn't that the whole idea? To have regional divisions, or as another poster put it, having 6 separate leagues playing under 1 name. Isn't it nice that they just probably more than doubled the teams travel expenses 2 months before the start of the season? Shouldn't the team travel budgets be set in stone by now? This is no longer a bus travel league. If the teams develope regional rivalries, wouldn't it please the fans to see those teams more? I'm sure the "fans" in Detroit (here they call it Detroit again instead of Motown, I wish they would get it straight) would much rather see Hermosillo, Juarez, and Albuquerque, rather than Pittsburgh or Nashville. I am just as sure Detroit would rather travel to their Mexican divisional rivals rather than Pittsburgh or Nashville. The Calgary / Tijuana rivalry should be as hot as any, as should the Cincinnati / Albuquerque one. Give me a break!
They are correct that it will make more since. When 4-5 of the 6 teams in one of the previous divisions never take to floor, they won't end up with a 1 or 2 team division.
They go on to say "...season ticket sales have been going well in most cities...". There is no way this is true. How can you sell tickets when no one knows how to get them. All of the things that I have said about the Jammers operation in other posts still are true to this moment. I'll bet they have not sold a single season ticket, or any ticket for that matter, since they have not gone on sale to the public. I'm guessing they are not the only team either.
The ABA can polish a turd like no one I've ever seen before.

Your guess is as good as gold here in the Chicago area too. This is an excerpt from the ABA's August 26th press release about the new Chicago franchise:
Ullrich added, "We have much to do in a very short time. Fortunately, the media and press in Chicago is very favorable towards the ABA and have offered to assist us in getting the word out.
Geez! With friends like that in the media, then who needs enemies. Not only was THIS press release NOT picked-up by ANY Chicago news outlets, but there has been absolutely zero mention of the ABA returning to Chicago since that release.

Now THAT'S funny. The media didn't pick up the press release in which the team praises the media for picking up the press releases and spreading the word!
Well, after all, THAT'S the ABA.
not so fast

The chicago ABA team had 7 players at their free agent camp. I am not sure if they really understand what they are doing, I can't see how they wil be able to field a team by november.
