I saw the little news article in Sports Illustrated. Two questions: Why doesn't OSC cover this? If it is big enough that SI does a story on it. Even if it was only a paragraph and a picture, certainly that gives it enough credibility to be covered. Secondly, has anyone ever attended a game? What is it like?

Must seem crappy to the top-flight cricketers who come over from the Windies and such. The league uses Minor League baseball stadiums that have the pitching mound removed for the games. Without an entire grass field like a traditional cricket oval, I bet these players are saying, what the hell did I sign up for? I would like to seem them use a traditional ground. But I'm not sure there is any top-flight grounds in the US. If they ever expanded into Toronto, I would hope that the Toronto Curling and Cricket Club would be used and not a minor league baseball stadium such as Christie Pits. But I do understand that an enclosed cricket field in North America is an anamoly and the league had to use the next best thing. So I won't complain to heavily, except to say that it is the oddest shaped oval I've ever seen.

I personally hope it takes off. I enjoy ODI Cricket and the Cricket World Cup. I found it appalling that Canada would make it into the World Cup, even shock a few countries and not have their matches shown on cable tv. I was more appalled that Canada hosted an international tournament, the World Cup qualifier and it was not shown on tv. Hopefully, US Pro Cricket changes that for the better. Even if the ICC and the USACA won't give it the proper recognition it deserves. I think it is a step in the right direction for cricket on this continent.
