Down the stretch!

Looks like it is going to be a neck and neck race to the second half finish between the Tunes and the Nuts. Macon dropped the last game, but still took 2 out of 3 from the Nuts. The Music now have to hit the road for 3 at "The FishTank" (Charlotte County) and 3 at "The Nut House":rolleyes: (South Georgia) and then they come home for the final 3 games of the season at home against the Joes.

Gonna be a photo finish!

The Music have turned it up down the stretch and took another series from South Georgia in the Nut House. If I am looking at the standings correctly, the Music have a 3 game lead with 3 to play. Looks like we just need to win one game out of the series at home against the Joes to clinch the second half.

If that happens, the championship series with South Georgia will be good. Despite Macon winning the season "Peach Series" from the Nuts, you can throw that out the window for the playoffs.

I really doubt it. The Music has to only win one of the three games against Anderson. However... ;) the only team that has a chance to have a winning record against Macon this year is Anderson. The Joes have won six of the last eight games played against Macon (Since game two of the July 6 doubleheader).
Ought to be EXCITING to see if Macon will enter the playoffs as "second half winner" or as "second best record"! I really do hope Macon wins one game - and only one - in the series. :D
A Macon vs. South Georgia finale will be great baseball! I'm looking forward to it!
