64-6...Missouri didn't score until the 3rd quarter. Stallbaumer for the Koyotes went off the field on a stretcher. Seems as if he knocked himself out running/being knocked into the boards. There were TONS of well wishes for him and his family. Championship game proceeds were to benefit a young boy who needs a lung transplant. I forgot my season ticket at home and bought another ticket for the game.
Thanks Football Chick..
Since I didn't see a score come up here..
I just went ahead and stayed up till 3 am so I could get the score on the Capitol-Journal online.. lol
Congrats Koyotes..
And of course.. It doesn't matter what it is.. It's always good to hear or see...
Kansas 64
Missouri 6
lol

Isn't it usually:
K-State 64
Kansas 6 ???????
Ah.. Now Football Chick..
You must remember that I am originally from Kansas City..
On the KANSAS side..
And Kansas City is much closer to Lawrence (As is Topeka).. The Kansas Jayhawks hated rival is Missouri.. Not in a small part due to the fantasy that MU fans have that they actually have a basketball "tradition".. Other than getting knocked out in the first round of the NCAA's.. The KU and K-State "hate" is mostly one the Wildcat faithful have..
I grew up loving all teams "Kansas".. KU, K-State, Wichita State, Pittsburg State, Baker, Butler County Community College, Ft. Hays State etc And Yes.. I consider the Chiefs, Royals, Knights, Wizards, and Comets as part of the "Kansas" team base.. Kansas City is 80 communites, 2 states and 1 city.. Kansas City games are the one time Kansans and Missourians can lay down their arms for a common goal..
So yes.. I do mean Kansas 64 Missouri 6.. lmao
You take care
Don't buy up all the Koyote t-shirts.. Leave me one.. heh
I was there at Kemper when Washburn won the NAIA basketball championship.. I was an Ichabod for a day.. lol

I'm originally from Illinois, so Jayhawk isn't even part of my vocabulary, and am a Wildcat due to graduating from there. I cheer for most Kansas teams, but am partial to my St Louis Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, Columbus Blue Jackets, and several NIFL/AF2 teams.
btw, I knew the guys when Washburn won the championship. My mom worked at Washburn in the criminal justice department and a lot of the guys were part of the cj program. I got to ride in the parade with them. I was just a wee gal back then.......
I'll be sure to let you know when the Koyotes championship t-shirts come out.
