Hello,
I’m a bit confused about the nifl this year.
Their site is not updated since a couple of months.

I read here they have played championship, but some says the 2 teams that played that game have left the league before playing…and what are the reasons why they’ve been kicked off?

Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_National_Indoor_Football_League_season) reports 2 standings, different from the one on nifl site.
It seems everyone has own idea about “final” standings.

Nifl didn’t have playoffs and directly the championship?

Please someone have the patience to report all the facts in just one thread, thanks a lot.

The NIFL cancelled more than two-thirds of its games. Wyoming and Fayetteville, two of the three best teams in the league, withdrew from the NIFL following their final regular season games and played each other, with undefeated Fayetteville coming out the winner. It was as close to an NIFL postseason as we'll get.

As Obi-Wan Kenobi said in "Return of the Jedi," many of the truths we hold depend on our point of view, but I will try to do my best here.

The NIFL season was a disaster from almost the get-go. After massive foldings or defections in the off-season, the league was left with less than a half-dozen teams. Fayetteville, Cincinnati (Dayton), Wyoming and Beaumont (am I missing anyone here?) were the main holdovers from the season before. A couple of expansion teams were given to actual owners — San Diego and Columbia (the Columbia owner already had a lousy track record in the NIFL).
The rest of the expansion teams were mostly on paper and owned by the league (in hopes people would step up, buy them and operate them).

These paper teams had trouble from the start securing venues and paying bills. Many, many games had to be canceled. Semi-pro replacement teams also had to be used to finish schedules. By the end of the season, just three franchises — San Diego, Wyoming and Fayetteville — were able to operate. And the rest is, as they say, history.

Now if you want some real comedy (or tragedy)?
