In your opinion which GBL team has the best booster club? Please base your answers on personal experience, conversations with players/coaches, going to a different park and watching the other booster club in action and maybe even talking to their booster club members. If a player or coach answers, what have you observed in you travels around the league.

Rather than pitting one booster club against another in this way, maybe it would be funner for booster club members to tell us what they do in their organization that would work well in other booster clubs. Or what they have tried that has bombed. Had the Surf Dawgs returned this year it was our intention to try and have a brainstorming session with other booster clubs in order to raise the bar everywhere. What's good for one team/booster club is good for the whole GBL. We don't compete against each other on this level, we should be aiming to improve each other.

The Caboosters(OC Flyers) sells raffle tickets. The main one is the 50/50. In ours the winner wins half of the money collected, 25% of the other half goes into a fund to buy food to feed the players after every home game and the other 25% goes into a fund that we give to an organization in the community at the end of the season.
We also raffle brand new bats that the team uses. We buy them from the Flyers.
Gift cards have also been raffled off.
Our cotton candy is a BIG seller. Fans can stand there see it being made(every game).
Root beer floats are sold at every Saturday home game.
The gumball machine is brought out at every game(every baseball gumball wins a prize).
Recently one of our club members donated some nice toys(for kids) and we raffled them off.
On the visiting teams "get away" night we give them sandwiches. We also feed the umpires as well as the press box people.
We also sell the game programs for the Flyers. We keep part of the money and the rest go to the Flyers.
To see the "perks" the Cabooster club members receive go to ORANGECOUNTYFLYERS.COM and read the Cabooster club message forum.
