I said it before, how do you have professional soccer in the USA without the COSMOS. This would be bigger than Beckham. Does anyone agree?

F the Cosmos. Knock it off. Its just a nickname. You have the Red Bulls. Go to a game. Watch it. Enjoy it for what it is. Breathe. Itll be okay.

Are the yankees just a nickname. Are the Dallas Cowboys just a nickname. Have you ever seen a Metrostars, oh I'm sorry Red Bulls, game with 77,000 fans. No I guess not. I did whatch the Cosmos as a kid and it was unbelievable, and guess what, I am not even a soccer fan. Have the red bulls ever sold out Giant Stadium. But you are right, it is what it is.

Cosmos + MLS Salary Cap and player restrictions = Team in name only.

If the Cosmos were the Yankees or Cowboys, they would have thrown a league together to avoid the death of the NASL. In reality, they aren't the Yankees or Cowboys.

Red Bulls will have to build from the new 25K park going up, and you'll either have to be part of that, or hope the rumors of a second NY area team are true.

it could make a difference if they changed their name back to the cosmos but it would take away from pele and the rest of the cosmos back then legacy, and besides they still like the red bulls and they have plenty of good players for new york to be excited about. ex. Jaun pablo angel, jozy altidore, and claudio reyna
