First Round
Game 1 - Dodge City v. Westchester - Westchester led by Head Coach John Starks was unable to know off the top seed Dodge City in this one. The final score was 99-89 Dodge City. The leading scorers were Ray Young (24 points) for Dodge City and Lance Williams (20 points) for Westchester.
Game 2 - Pennsylvania v. Cedar Rapids - Pennsylvania was led by Head Coach Darrly Dawkins, of NBA fame, and Cedar Rapids was led by Dave Joerger, this past seasons CBA Coach of the Year. Pennsylvania proved to be too much for Cedar Rapids as the ValleyDawgs out paced them 113-104. Top performers were Marcus Fleming for the ValleyDawgs (27 points, 12 rebounds) and DeShawn Hadley (26 points) for Cedar Rapids.
Game 3 - Brooklyn v. Oklahoma - This was a great matchup. The Brooklyn Kings were led by Head Coach Kenny Charles of NBA fame. The Kings exploded on the Oklahoma Storm as BJ McFarland hit the Storm up for 42 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Kings to a 104-93 victory. The Storm got a great performance from Lamont Turner as he scored 25 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
Game 4 - Kansas v. Adirondack - This was the best attended game of the night as the hometown Kansas Cagerz hit the court. Adirondack was short a player as Jimmy "Snap" Hunter, who was a top performer in the CBA for the Rockford Lightning was unable to attend due to a workout with the Orlando Magic (NBA). However, in their last matchup, he was limited to only 8 points even though he finished the season as the leagues top scorer at around 26 points a game. The Cagerz were all over Adirondack in this game. It was said that they put on a dunk-fest as they went on to clobber the Wildcats 124-94. The Cagerz were led by Cleotis Brown (23 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals), who also led the team in scoring during the regular season. Adirondack was led by Gary Williams who had 22 points.
Semi-Finals
Game 1 - Dodge City and Pennsylvania - The Semi-Finals saw the leagues four best teams squaring off for the title. In Game one, Pennsylvania took it to #1 seed Dodge City by coming away with a 109-98 victory. The ValleyDawgs of Pennsylvania has three players score in the 20's for points (Marcus Fleming 20, Quincey Wadley 21, and Tim Winn 20), whereas Dodge City was led by Rob Dye with 24 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists).
Game 2 - Kansas v. Brooklyn - This game had the most fans in attendance as the hometown Cagerz came in one game away from the Championship. Kansas was favored in this game, but a big time performance by Mike Campbell (44 points and 10 rebounds) helped to lead the Kings to a 100-96 victory over the Kansas Cagerz. Kansas was down as much as 19 in the first half, but was able to battle back and tie it late in the game. However, Brooklyn was just too hot from the field and thwarted all of Kansas' attempts at winning this one. Kansas was led by a balanced attackt of Maurice Jeffers (22 points 11 rebounds) and Cleotis Brown (20 points, 3 assists, 3 steals).
Championship
Brooklyn v. Pennsylvania - This was a high energy game as both teams came out trying to take the grand prize back to their respective cities. In the end, Mike Campbell (38 points and 7 rebounds) and Brooklyn were unable to close the ValleyDawgs out, and Marcus Fleming (34 points and 14 rebounds) and the ValleyDawgs won the USBL Championship 118-116.
