To you Armada fans,

What happened to Bud Smith ?? I thought he was going to be the highlight to the GBL season with all that experience etc..

I saw he was on then off the "Inactive List" and now he has "Retired"
Just wondering if you guys have any further info??

he was tired of getting injured. It was one thing after another and he just keep the injuries away. I know he was having injury issues in the off season and wanted this year to be really good, I think the frustration just kicked in and he decided to call it a career. We are quite bummed he is gone.

I talked to him last Tuesday and I had my 19-month-old daughter with me. We talked about parenthood since he has a 9-month-old son. He said he watches his baby every day until 4 p.m. when he had to get to the ballpark. So I don't know if that played a factor in his decision, but I can understand if it did.
