The word is that the Intense Football League may lose two of its six teams before the end of the season. The two teams have not been released, but all may not be going so well in the IFL.
The interesting point is that the IFL actually owns three of the teams.
The key word in your post is "before" the end of the season..
Geez... You would think that people with the kind of money that it takes to even start up such a venture would have enough common sense to actually investigate "worst case scenarios" before trying it in the first place..
I guess too many of these guys figure ticket sales revenue will carry them after the initial expenditures..
This of course isn't just for the IFL..
Well lets just hope that they can finish out the season..
For all the bad mouthing Ecklund has gotten after the old IFL came and went.. At least nobody folded mid-season.. Course... Maybe thats cuz he just wasn't paying the bills.. ?

Man, I hope its not true. I was keeping an eye on the IFL and was hoping the league would be successful in Texas. I suppose the league can still play if 2 teams drop out before the end of the season, but it just doesn't make your league look very good if you can't even get all your teams too finish a full season. I agree you, isn't "worst case senario" even considered when you start a team?
I one of the teams has got too be El Paso.

League's already taken control of El Paso...that team was a mistake. They brought El Paso in at the last possible second so they could have an even number of teams.

Is the AF2 going buy the Intense Football League?

(For the sake of irony, I'll go for the straight answer)
Leagues don't buy teams, owners buy teams and sometimes pay to get into "new" markets... unless it's a single-entity league, but they don't seem to buy teams, either.
Even if AF2 could buy these teams, why pay more to buy them when you could pay far less and kill them, then maybe attract an owner into your league without spending so much?
Oh, and networks buying leagues never works for long. Networks cancel bush leagues in the same manner they cancel sitcoms.

I'll agree with you about the Network thing Pounder, the XFL was a perfect example of that going totally south.
