Thursday 25th of July is Dog day of Summer (http://www.oursportscentral.com/services/releases/?id=3508778) at Luther Williams Field. (I wonder if they'll count them in the attendance figures;) ). Mr Ed, are you gonna be there? I know you're a dog-lover, I assumed you'd have the date marked on your calendar!:-D
I just hope they have a good clean-up crew afterwards; "Mommy, look, someone's dropped a hot-dog on the ground.................EWWW!"

I' m not going to make that one.
I don't know if I would take my dogs to a baseball game anyway.
Especially with 50-100(?) other dogs in the park.
It does seem like a good gimmick for minor league ball.I can't believe the ATL Braves have a Dawg Day at the Ted.

I never saw the "people" attendance figures, but I heard that there were over 100 dogs at the game! The Macon Telegraph had several photos in the next day's paper and a nice article....and it was not in the sports section!

I especially found the last paragraph very amusing:eek:

The Detroit Tigers held the same event for a few years when they were lousy. It brought in some extra fans and media attention. I never heard of any problems. They called it "Bark in the Park"!
