Until the new stadium (near the San Jose airport) is finished, it appears they're going to play a core of games at a small stadium and spread out the rest... Beckham games at McAfee in Oakland and appearances in San Francisco, Sacramento, and elsewhere in the Bay Area.

This is great news! I'm glad to hear that they'll be back!

I dont like the regional thing. San Jose State doesnt know what theyre doing when it comes to pro sports (or college sports for that matter.) Local ownership is what they wanted before and now they got it, so I think it will be better than before, especially with an SSS.

Great to have them back... cannot wait for San Diego to have a team, hopefully some day.

The rumor going round (and I don't know how much reality in which it was based) was SD was going to get Chivas USA if they could come up with a soccer-only stadium.

...and since Jorge Vergara has mentioned something about a stadium (I thought he mentioned the Inland Empire), I would think that Chivas USA is up for grabs for anyone (well, anyone in Southern California by my reckoning) wishing to help with land to build a stadium.

Yuck, Inland Empire? City of Industry would be a sweeet location...if you like your meth with a ton of smog!
