New Thunderbirds Coach

The TBirds have set a press conference for Wednesday at 2:30pm MST to announce their new coach. Word has it that the new coach is NOT Joe Harge as he doesn't really see eye to eye with the owners.

Talked to some people and they said Michael Cooper will be in town as will Maurice Cheeks from Philly for the announcement. The new coach might be a surprise to some, but I think the man they have selected will be good and this is his big break...

I had originally posted Phil Smith as he had been mentioned as a finalist for the job, but a quick check of abqjournal.com has an article about Jeff Ruland being announced.

Who? Thats what I said to myself when I read this. I was hoping Harge would be the man. Is Harge staying on as an assitant?

Nah...I think Harge is going to end up going somewhere else...not sure where though
