With Long Beach's loss tonight to the OC Flyers, the Chico Outlaws have clinched the first-half championship. Mark Parent's crew have secured the first berth into the 2007 GBL Championship Series.

Congrats again to the Outlaws.

I could not agree more, way to fight hard and hang on this week Chico! You showed your true mettle this past week or so and hung on to win. Lets see who else can bring it to you in the second half.....my hat rests on Reno rebounding from a rash of injuries to take you on.....anyone else want to banter this??

Since I came into this league, I have been very impressed with Bob, Mark, Rory, Becca, and the entire Chico organization. I am extremely proud of them, and happy for them, for winning the 2nd half. I am glad we were able to beat LB to clinch it for the Outlaws. They are all close friends, and deserve their success.

All this being said, however, WATCH OUT Chico, we are coming after you, and expect to see you in a Chico/OC battle for the championship at the end of August!

Enjoy it now, guys! You earned it!

A big thank you to the OC Flyers tonight...that is one impressive Long Beach squad....seeing our lead go from 3 games to none in four days was a shocker last week...then those two nailbiters with the Armada after they thumped us so bad on Friday....don't know how we beat Haverlo with a single hit, that would never happen again...and then the big comeback on Sunday night....just happy to be in the playoffs!

The team that looked the best to me was Long Beach....although St. George took 3 out of 4 from us here in the first half....the second half race should be wide open.

The Sox are counting on the Lancaster magic for oue 2nd half run!!!

Yesterday we received this update:

Silver Sox getting ready for 2nd Half Run
Silver Sox manager Les Lancaster has been busy working the phones finding players to help improve his current roster.

“The second half should be interesting for us, we have to make a lot of improvements, especially on defense, but I feel confident. We really came on strong in the last part of the first half,” said Lancaster.

Look out GBL were coming to defend the Championship!!!!!!!!
