Why is the Guard owner afraid to play us????????? how come he didn't want to talk to the Shockwave's owner? Why were the players crying after the game? Maybe they didn't recieve their Elton John tickets???

Oh, geez. Here we go with this again.
Hey BigP (or AfterShock, or whatever the hell your name is.), the season is over. The BEST two teams were kicked out of the NIFL for doing things right. They played their "championship" game and the season is over. Now they can start focusing on next season, just like you should do.
Just give it up man! It's over!

Exactly! Wyoming plays 9 actual games throughout the season, wins 7 and loses 2, both the only road games they played all year. As a matter of fact, the only two teams they played that were legitimate, they lost to! How in the world could anyone in their right mind justify a 7-2 team being better than a 10-1 team? I'll give Fayetteville props for an undefeated season but we'll never really know how good they actually are since they never played San Diego. I will tell you this, after seeing San Diego beat Wyoming while they still had "Spider man", I can assure you San Diego would have blown Wyoming out without him as he was their entire offense in that game all night long. He ran the football for a score, returned a kick back for a score, and caught several swing passes out of the backfield for good yardage. I would also have put my money on Wyoming winning in Fayetteville with "Spider man" as they were entirely one dimensional in that football game without him as quoted by their head coach.
Go Wyo!

For the last time...read slow so you will get it this time.
There were no venues, turf, dasherpads or teams with enough equipment to in Colorado. SO, Wyoming could not play their away games, period, end of story. If you brainiacs from San Diego could have come up with an alternative plan, then Wyoming would have looked at it. I guess they could have traveled to California and played Pomona, Tri-Valley or San Bernardino, oh wait...they didn't have venues either.
They traveled twice and attempted to play and could not. And if they would have been able to play (and not put their players in harm's way like San Diego did, that is a quote from your Head Coach, Bob Bees) do you really think home field advantage would have erased a 113-12 score from the week before.
Regardless of what the game was called in Fayetteville, Wyoming and Fayetteville played and they are moving on toward their 2008 season. If San Diego decides to do the same, then great. If you guys continue to sit on this board and argue the forfeitures vs. games played, then shine on. Just stop with the accusations as it is starting to get a little mundane and tiresome.

Yawn.
I think the SD owner should pay for both teams to come out to SD and play. Toss in legoland and seaworld tickets, and its a weekend! I'd even come, but I require $250 up front and half of the gate.

GO WYO maybe you should take a little dose of reality! You won't even admit that you lost a game that meant nothing and what you should say is , that the Cavs lost the PRESEASON AIFL GAME! Beacuse that's what it was no matter how you try and say other wise.

This season is over. Let it go guys. I know it sucks, but that's the way it is. It's just over. Calling people names and making accusations won't get another game played, or help anything at all for that matter. It's only creating enemies.
I know this season left an empty feeling inside of San Diego people, and I can relate to that. One morning I went to the end of my driveway picked my the newspaper only to read that my team had closed up shop.....So look at it this way, it could be worse, you could just not have a team at all.
It was a great season in S.D., I won't take anything away from that, but fella's, let this one go, and look forward to next season. Start working to better yourself and your team, but above all, put this season behind you.

Yes, time to move on. All the whining in the world won't change what happened. Prepare for next season and hope the Shockwave are in a much better league situation next year. If not, get ready for more of the same. Only the names will change.

It never was about the "best teams". Fayetteville and Wyoming ownership dealt with the NIFL crap for a long time and took the lead in bolting out of the league. They tried to salvage the seasons for their legitimate teams and others. To some extent it worked. King and the Laytons deserved the opportunity to end the season with a legitimate game, call it what you want, that meant something to all the people/players who suffered thru the NIFL. It was their game to make, because they could and did, and had nothing to do with the "best team", although I think that the Guard and Cavalry were the best.
I was at the game, and it meant something to all who were present. It had excitement, crowd buzz, suspense and a sense of accomplishment at the end. The Wyoming ownership showed class and participated with Mr. King at the "celebration".
In some ways, it was no different then your kids soccer or little league championship. At the end, people cry and jump up and down and celebrate. Why, because it means something to them, even though in the big picture its not important.
So, San Diego, please get over it. The game and the opportunity meant something to the Guard and Cavalry and their supporters. That's all.

And how many teams will be in the NIFL next year by the way? How many taxpayers got screwed by owners not paying rent for the arenas? It goes on and on. Kinda like boasting about who was last to drown on the Titanic. Pretty doggone stupid.

You said that perfectly. If people want to celebrate it as a "championship", then whatever, I guess I can't stop them... but I had better not be hated on for not joining in.

That's about the dumbest question I've read on this board in a really long time. A league is not going to turn down a team based on the behavior of 2 or 3 fans on this or any other message board.

What a stupid question! Why wouldn't a league want the Team from San Diego? The 8th largest city in the nation!
Fans? At least we support our team! And are passionate about our team!
So why not question your question.

Yes truly it is! Who knew that the head of ALL the leagues come here to see whether they want a team and city in their league.
Again what truly has been said here by us the fans of San Diego?
Were we not allowed to voice our opinions regarding the disfunctional B>S that was thrown our way?
Again if this would of happened to any of the two teams that left the NIFL after their last game and entered the AIFA. They would of been outraged just as we are.
We are just responding to your rock throwing, and people who live in glass houses should never throw rocks.
Or becareful of that finger your pointing at us when four more on your own hand are pointing right back at you.
