Fever fans come forth! What a bum week this turned out to be. Here I was, all amped up, looking forward to a little friendly ribbing/smack talkin' with the spokane shock fans, and the stinking AFL message board crashes. ugh. Been down all week, thus, no forum in which to exchange ideas/taunts/opinions, etc. Don't get me wrong Fever believers...I'm more amped up about this game than any football game ever. Just wish I could have been sharing the enthusiasm this week! Anyone going to the game? Anyone hosting a big screen party? Anyone heading to Jackson's in Richland? As for me, my dad is throwing a bash at his place - huge wall sized tv, its gonna be a blast. GO FEVERRRRR!!!!!!!

Where do I start? First of all, congrats to spokane, well played and good luck the rest of the way. As far as the Fever, talk about a train wreck...they got ouplayed, outcoached, and, most importantly in my eyes - outclassed. The Fever played well in the first half, kept it close early third, and then self-destructed in an ugly way. There's a reason we're the most penalized team in AF2 - we have a complete lack of discipline and no focus. What disappoints me the most is being outclassed. Spokane played like champions, the Fever played like a bunch of thugs. Late hits, unsportsmanlike conduct, our D coordinator running onto the field - oh, and how can we forget Foxx getting ejected...Sorry gentlemen, but that isn't Fever football. Dodd-Masters, OMG, the biggest thug of all. Not that he was the only one, but my god man - come on. No pass rush, no pass protection, Superman a complete non-factor in the biggest game of the season - UGH. Baker with yet ANOTHER red zone interception (excuse me while I puke). I find it difficult to put into words how disgusted I am with our team today. It's like a different team altogether than we had at the beginning of the season - they take the field and seem to be going through the motions without any real fire or energy. I know this - we have not been a good team on the road this season. With our pathetic showing Saturday, at best we'll make the playoffs as a 5 or 6 seed, have to play on the road, and, if we continue to play like we did yesterday, the season will be over in the first round. I am a diehard Fever fan, and losing is never fun, but I'd rather have a 5 - 11 team that goes out and plays with class and respect than be 8-6 and play like we did yesterday.

Amen, I was more disappointed with the penalties than anything. You almost expect the Fever not to score when they are on the 1 or 2 yard line it seems our lineman cannot get the push needed to gain rushing yards. Our line last night played exceptionally poor and Baker was not able to let the plays develop. I really wish the Fever would bring in another DB to the fold Masters has cost us more than once with his thug ways. I hope they get things together for the next two games, as we will need to win both to have a chance at the playoffs.

ugh...too true...my hands are too sore from typing my guts out on the shock boards...but i pretty much said what feverbeliever said...it was disgusting...and i think wells is at the center of it...This week he better take control of the team and show some discipline...this team should at least be 10-4...if garth holds on to the game winning TD against BKSFLD and a horrible "D" game against stockton on the road...and i think are playing below their talent level, and the coach has something to do with that...

I think thats a little premature. Anything can happen in arena football. We also have two "easy" games left. ha ha -easy, as if there is such a thing for the fever lmao. Theres like what, 5 teams with 8-6 records? And you say theres NO chance we can get a home playoff game? Sorry, but its still possible, just not probable. we go at everett (playing well)
and home boise (not as bad as their record)

and CVC has to go at Boise who be another really good team at home...so i still have hope.

i dont think we'll get a home playoff agme, but i expect a 5 or 6 seed...a 7 wouldnt hurt tho...some payback would be nice.

I read on one of the posts (you probably read it too) that they got hacked and are having lots of problems getting it fixed. Doesn't look like it will be back up real soon. I preferred the AFL boards too, but until we get a team website thats worth a crap it's here I guess or nothin.

yes I did see it:p spank you very much ;) Beleive it or not I seen it 3 times :rolleyes: The first time I seen it I was pissed off that they played like that. 2nd time I kinda seen what was being called on us but not on the shock. The 3rd time I seen Robert Garth get molested & speared in the 4th Q with 8:13 seconds left and shock player only got called for only holding and by then the fever have had enough and that is when Coach Franklin went over the wall.It was not pretty but what can you do when the fever are playing well score after score and the refs did not do a good job period. Kinda like when the shock player threw it up into the fans was OK but when Garth kicked it up there he got a flag. There are a few players that need to stop getting stupid fouls.Seasons almost over and we will probably not see to many of these players back. Everett fans told us about a couple of R players and yes they are right. The way it is now I do not see Coach wells and company being here next year. GO FEVERRR

First, let me address your comment...I'm not talking "out my ass." I'm using a keyboard, so technically I'm not really "talking" at all, but rather posting, as it were. If I were talking, it would be out of my mouth rather than my ass. Come to think of it, I don't know anyone who actually DOES talk out of their ass, except maybe Ace Ventura. :razz: Seriously, who do you think you are? Please don't tell me you're one of those rose-colored-glasses types who blame the officials, or luck, or the alignment of the planets when your team loses. I call em' like I see em, and I posted what I saw. I expected when I came onto these boards that I would come across people with different viewpoints and opinions than mine - and I'm ok with that, in fact, I look forward to it. I'm alright with it because at the end of the day, I am a diehard Fever fanatic - a believer in my team. However, that does not mean that, as such, I am obligated to defend or justify every stupid, classless thing they do on the field, especially if I feel it's just flat out wrong and in poor taste. I cheer for the Fever - it doesn't mean I necessarily have to cheer for every player that plays for them. If I want to wish them luck, I will. If I want to analyze and criticize, I will. If they go out, play with discipline and focus and anihilate the next opponent, I will scream my lungs out the entire game, just like I always do, and have been doing since the fever's first game ever. Yepper, when you loose your heads and play like thugs you get what is coming to you. Unfortunately, the Fever now have a reputation that they will not enjoy holding on to. They are after all the most penalized team in the league, for those that dont think it is going to affect the way the calls go for the Fever think again. The Coaching staff needed to tighten the reins earlier in the season. Truthfully, did I really bash the team or did I just point out the facts. I will always support the team I have since season one and will continue as long as they are here. Lets just hope that with the events of the Spokane game and the events of our last home game don’t start to negatively impact the Fever as an organization.

i would think so. the first 1 or 2 shows did not have the caddie on them, the radio broadcaster did them.

i am so tired of people blaming the officials, its to the point that every time a call goes against the fever the fans think it is a bad call. they are all acting like they are from Walla Walla. the officials missed 1 call against spokane, 1. when the reciever was over the line and the shock qb started back, they called the fever offsides. that was it. so now fever fans say the refs cost us the game, boo hoo. if you ask the shock fans they will say the refs were against them. try to be objective people. i dont know why you can throw the ball into the stands but not kick it, but you cant. almost everytime the opposing reciever runs toward the line our db jumps into the neutral zone. so we get a penalty

Well, I'll not sit and blame the officials for any loss - its up to a team to overcome bad calls. I do think that the officiating at Toyota Center has been consistently inconsistent, and at times just plain bad, and yes, there have been bad calls both ways. Its natural for fans to criticize the officials - some might say its even part of the job description - to call them to the carpet when they screw up. I do know one thing - we aren't the most penalized team in the league because of the officials. Lining up in the neutral zone? That has nothing to do with the refs - what, they can't look down and see where the dang ball is?? Late hits, unsportsmanlike conduct - they bring those on themselves. PI - now that is one that I can honestly say has been the worst of the inconsistent this season. They never seem to be consistent with it. A little contact is to be expected, I mean thats the nature of football, but sometimes they just need to let the fellas play ball. False starts and defensive offsides are always a toss up - its a judgement call as to whether a defender was truly offsides, or whether he was drawn. Ultimately, the coaches and players are responsible for us being the raiders of the AF2. I mean, seriously, does anyone really believe that the raiders get more flags EVERY YEAR because they truly have the most penalties? Hell no, they have a reputation for being thugs - and the refs call the game accordingly - with a slight lean toward throwing the hanky and a quick trigger finger. TC Fever...the raiders of the AF2...

Well we lost that one :mad: Whats up with wells not suiting up a QB :( THAT IS CRAZY. I say we need a new HD Coach for next year. Even though i like Wells.Those two guys that where to come here to play refused to come here. They where a DB&WR. I did like that run around for a TD that Garth did with Sean taking out that hawk player:) Yes we will go out and take on the Boise Burn next Saturday and hopefully win that game other wise we are out. Fever Fans it is a bad day in Fever land, for those of you who get the Tri-City Herald the news is out that Baker is gone for the season but worse yet his career may be over. The injury suffered by Brian on Saturday night was a broken tibia. It looks like he will undergo surgery possibly as soon as this week. Lets hope that this isn’t as bad as it sounds the story is not on the net.

First, congrats to Mr. Baker on a fine season. His injury is unfortunate and I wish him the best. Get well Brian. As for the Fever, I think its about time Mr. Wells answer for the absolutely moronic decision to suit up an additional lineman?? rather than Colin Drafts, who apparently will either make or break our postseason hopes. Seriously, is it just me, or is it painfully obvious that Wells doesn't know what the hell he's doing out there? Sure, we cut down on the penalties, but again, they seemed to be going through the motions - no attitude, no fire at all. I mean, if they can't get fired up in a game that could send them to the playoffs, then what will fire these guys up?? Even before Baker went down, we were down by two scores! To the hawks?!?!?! Give me a break. Even with Superman at QB they barely squeaked out a 2 point win. We should have buried them. Well, our season comes down to one game against a team (Boise) that, thanks to a convincing win over CV, has on outside chance to make the playoffs themselves should they beat us at home. Now I don't know about you guys, but I think Mr. Colin Drafts needs the Fever Faithful to come hard Saturday night - It'll be his first start in AF2. He's got the skills. Ok, so according to Coach Wells (and apparently the caddie agrees) - approximately 6 out of 10 coaches in AF2 carry only one QB. Does that make it a smart thing to do? Or a good strategy? Hell no! - if 6 out of 10 AF2 coaches decided to wear pink tutus and ballet slippers while coaching, would you do it too Wells??? Really, thats the best rationale you can give us? Weak.

Yeah - I don't buy the "we need an extra lineman" BS. One extra guy isn't worth not having Drafts ready just in case. As for Superman, I'd like to see him win the Ironman award - and have no problem with the t-shirt thing, I'll get one, but I'll be wearing my Fever jersey. They did get the penalties under better control last week, and even with Garth at QB we still should have won. The spokane game - yeah, it was a poor display of character, but i think we've beaten that horse.

Brian will be going to have surgery Monday. They will be fixing the broken Fibia first. They have to let it heal before they can fix the knee. GO FEVERRR

Let's see how many times was Drafts on his A##. Lets see 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, if it wasn't for his ability to scramble it would of been more. There is some good news he threw for 236 yrds on 20-of 34 passing. From seeing Drfts over at the side lines after the game he was in PAIN. Bringing Brian Bakers number out did NOTHING. The O=Line did what it has been doing all season long in the 3rd & 4th Quarters getting there lunch handed to them. The Burn went in at Half time and did a little ajustment and that was all they needed to put pressure on Mr Drafts.I also blame T-Wells a little for what happened to Brian. Cmon Wells has had 16 games to find Players that have the same dream & drive to win a championship. He NEVER found them in the O-Line. I thank God that Collin never got injured last night. When you are in there with a O-Line that has givin up chances are very high that you are going to get hurt. possible a injury that will take you OUT of the game for a long time. Don't get me wrong I love Coach Wells. I talk to him all the time. I just think he is not the Coach & Company that the Tri-Cities FEVER need right now. From standing and over hearing Asst Coaches Coleman & Whitsett from the Burn this is still home to them. I walked over from where I was standing and shook there hands and kinda just joking around said hey man when are you guys coming back we need yea. All they did was have a BIG smile on there face. Not saying that would end are problem but it would be a good start.
