Yes, but the UFL is supposed to be a Fall league. It's the AAFL that wants to be a spring league.

I know...but Cuban is with UFL.....and the AAFLs graduation requirement is ridiculous.

Of the two, I honestly think the AAFL has the better chance of survival. The UFL is starting with new teams in new non-NFL cities. The AAFL is trying to tap into the college fan base already established in those communities.
Both have a snowball's chance in hell, but I think the AAFL has the better chance if they can operate smoothly.

I think that both of these leagues dont have much of a chance. I really hope at least one of them make it. I'm sick to death of the NFL's whinning idiots. If one if these make it wouldn't mind seeing our NFL franchise go and replaced by one of these. Sick of being blackmailed for stadiums!!

Great article. Even though it's been 22 (!) years since I watched my Portland Breakers, I still remember the excitement and fun all us fans had.
Here in Oregon we're pretty much force fed the Seahawks and I personally would embrace the chance to have a hometown team in the UFL or AAFL.
The AAFL concept kind of leaves me scratching my head so I really believe that the UFL idea is the best, I just wish they would do it in the spring. Between the NFL and college, I think they will just be buried.
