Hey Mike, we miss your words of wisdom and how well you defend yourself

Heat a little to warm for you? I too now have proof that you are in fact The guy you proclaim not to be, even above all your protests and threats. I think your lawyer told you to cool it, because the time is near for you to face the music of your deeds. Boards have not been the same without your words of wisdom, your rantings and your denials. Won't you come back and play with us? Now since this is a hockey board. The new Detroit Franchise of the WHA is down to 5 names and the fans are voting on them via a web vote. Also, the UHL is planning a franchise in the Detroit area for play this season.

Can you tell us where to go to vote for the WHA Detroit team name? I have looked ever since the team was announced and can't find it. Different sources seem to have different spellings for the parent company, but I can't seem to find a web site for any of them. I know the name the team contest was supposed to be on their web site but that doesn't do any good when I can't find it.

As for the UHL, can you tell us where they are looking to put a Detroit team? If they are looking at the Falcons' old home in Fraser, I'll have to look into becoming a season ticket holder.

Thanks for the info.

Pac. Yes the talk is the new team will move into the Falcons old arena

Cougars fan gave you the voting address. I like the Demons and I cast my vote for that. Logo will be super looking.

First off, I hope they don't come up with something stupid like the Michigan Stags of 1975 in the original WHA. I also heard various rumours about Detroit's arena situation. I heard one rumour that they were going to play in Cobo Hall. Another rumour had them playing in the Palace of Aubern Hills. Tough call right now.

As for Killbreath/Big Mike, he's still around but he is simply trying to shut my site down behind closed doors.

I told him that if he wanted to sue me he can go ahead and I will only deal with his lawyers. However, no responce which means what I already knew and that is that he is never going to actually sue anyone. Folks, stand your ground and he will be beaten.

I don't think they would play at COBO, if the NHL does start up (I doubt it will until Jan. at least if then) the minor league team would take a few dollars away from the Wings, plus they use the same parking structures so parking would be even worse than it is. The Palace does have ice already from the old Vipers, and the only way they would play in Auburn Hills would be if Davidson owned the team and his plate is pretty full right now. However, the Palace would be a great arena and one of the best in the minor leagues and would be a UHL show case. However the attendance would never support it there. HUGE arena for a very low minor league team. When the Vipers folded Davidson was asked by the UHL to buy a team but he declined. And to be blunt he would not put up with the crap that the UHL front office hands out. Frasier is the best bet. Fans there miss the Falcons, they had good attendance, easy access, and a building that was built by good ol Doctor Afr for hockey and smaller crowds. As far as the WHA Stags name goes, that is not even on the ballot. The WHA was dealt a HUGE set back when the two Florida teams were pulled out of the league. I do not see how a 4 team league could make it.

Great. Thanks for the info. BTW, I placed my vote for the Cougars. The Dynamos would be pretty good too. Kinda reminds me of the Russian 5.

Assuming the WHA outlives the Silverdome (they both seem to be on life support right about now), I could see them ending up in the Palace. I could never see a UHL team there though. At best they would probably draw what the Vipers were at the end, when they were the main farm team for a crappy NHL team known as the Tampa Bay Lightning. Boy, how things have changed in a few years!! It would not be enough to support the arena. I couldn't see either team at Cobo, especially the WHA, for the reasons Global mentioned. Wherever they end up, I will be happy to support both teams with my "fan dollars". I wish them luck.
