The question looms.........if you can read and think. WHY are you still involved? are your egos blocking reason and common sense?

( if you dont help solve the problem your part of the problem)

Did Joe say something to you like? >> Look into my eyes...you are getting sleepy, sleepy......

You know, that is an interesting question.

I have a friend who basically is a bottom feeder who buys distressed companies assets from suckers who have 'dreams'. He says that until their dying days, it is someone else's fault that they lost their shirt. He says that it is all about ego and people like us who pooh-pooh their chance make them up their resolve to prove us wrong.

He says that they are thinking with the wrong head and with the clown owners here, I'd have to agree with that assessment. It's like talking to the wall.

Where were you guys when I sold used cars in college?

I gotta tell ya...this question has helped me feel pretty good about my recent departure from the Aces. I asked myself, "Why would I want to help a team in the ABA succeed...especially when I wasn't getting paid?" I just realized enough was enough. Pardon my religiousness, but I firmly believe that God will provide me with the right opportunity to pursue my basketball career in another place.

I have to agree with you all, too - there are too many other opportunities in other leagues for owners to move their teams to. If the CEO will not take any accountability for the travesties in the ABA, then it is the responsability of the ownership groups. I'm glad I left the ABA, because I believe I bring a lot to the table. My skills and abilities are bound to bring some level of success to any team I represent. It just can't be an ABA team any more - at least until there's an office/CEO change.

And consider that a BURNT bridge - and I'm NOT looking back!

Im sorry about what happened to you with the other team but if you would like to forward me your resume and private message me, we could turn this tarnish situation back to gold.

I understand you were hurt and mistreated but let me see what we can workout and also if there is anything that I can do to assist in getting your career back on track.

Now if you have already have an avenue you are entertaining then I wish you luck and success. We all arent evil and dont take advantage of people like you have mention in your case.

The reason I am in the league is obvious, I see a bright future in this league and its ok if others dont. Thats what makes the idea so grand, the fact that others say and feel that its not going anywhere. Thats my fuel!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zeke,

I'm sorry I hit you baby. It's just that I love you so much that it makes me hurt when I think about losing you. Come back to me, and I PROMISE it will never happen again.

Love,
The ABA

cglue...

I appreciate you trying to bare the accountability that the CEO should. That's a testament to your own character. I'm not sure how you can help me, and quite frankly, at this point, I don't think I can bolster up enough energy to lend my skills and services to this league under the current administration. You're already invested - I understand that. You're basically stuck for now (that's an assumption on my part, of course). I wish you the best as well.

Currently, I'm working on something with the Pikeville CBA team. I very much want to play there this year. I played for Pikeville College, so it would be sweet to return. Small town, familiar faces, and lots of love and support. Also was offered a free flight to tryout for the Razoersharks, too. I'm 30, but very strong and healthy, with an intense desire to play still. I also want to pave the way for an administrative bball career afterwards (and possibly coach), so it's really all about making the right moves now. At this point, I'm not sure another year in the ABA for ANY team is the right move.

The good thing about relinquishing the duties of GM for the Aces is I have had a lot more time to devote toward training - something I lacked last year due to several responsibilities (thus the low stats and only 6 games played on the orlando aces stats page). Coaching last year was a great experience. I learned a lot about vocal leadership. I was a former player demanding the respect from all my former teammates. It was difficult but accomplished. The first win against S. Alabama was a treasure - feels good to get a coaching win when a team is like 1 - 9.

I know that God will always bring me through whatever I am going through. I try not to be bitter, but I'm human, and seeing the same things happen over and over again by the same leadership just feuls the fire. Two of my favorite heros are Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr. They refused to sit quietly while injustice prevailed, and that cost them their lives. Standing up for what's right and refusing to allow the ABA to continue to abuse the leadership positions (and yes, every owner is in a leadership position as well) doesn't cost me my life. I know the pain and hurt, and I think it's my duty to vocalize my opinion and make sure the truth sets others free before they make a similar mistake!

This is long...sorry. I'll stop there!

We just had a guy declare bankruptcy for his amusement park, which went belly up after less than three months. The park was more than $24 million in debt. The owner blamed the weather, not the fact that he didn't have the capital to operate the park or take into consideration that Kansas is subject to bad weather, especially in the spring.
