Joes trade RHP William Krout AND "a PTBNL to the St. George Roadrunners of the Golden Baseball League for RHP Joey Muro"
Check out the stats:

PITCHER W-L ERA G GS CG SHO SV IP H R ER HR HB BB SO WP AVG
Krout,Will 0- 3 3.97 20 0 0 0 2 22.2 24 11 10 4 4 7 26 0 .270
Muro,Joey 0- 2 7.23 10 3 0 0 0 18.2 18 21 15 1 5 30 25 2 .277

Guess that's why I'm not the manager - obviously something I'm missing.
Hey KEVIN (GBLCOMMISH)! What can you tell us about this guy?

Obviously Joesfan, you have not heard everything. He must have come with a keg of beer and a case of bratwurst! Deal doesn't sound so bad now, does it? LOL!

If they'll throw in a bag of DORITOS, I'll go sit in the dugout and warm the bench myself! :infun:
I did get a little more info from the Joes. This guy has a mid-nineties fastball.
They're looking for a "stopper", someone who can come in with a lead, and actually hold onto it. Krout did get beat up and lose some rare late game leads. So it looks like the Joes are ignoring the stats this time, and going with the radar gun and the "intangibles". Will Joey win? We could find out as early as tomorrow, because Desi Wilson likes to put a player in the game as soon as he puts on the uniform.

Good Luck Fan, I'm about as far from an expert as you can possibly get, but 5 hit batsman, 2 wild pitches,30 walks and 25 strikeouts in 18 innings of work doesn't sound like much of a stopper:(

Yeah, I'm not expecting much... I'm hoping Desi Wilson shows that he is a baseball genius and proves me wrong.
With a 95mph fastball, I'll bet those hit batsmen are STILL showing off the strawberry.

Don't forget he comes from a Roadrunners team that is 5-24 this year!
Good Luck!

Joey Muro pitched in his first game with the Joes last night. He came in for one inning vs. the Redfish: 1 K, 1 BB, 1 HB, 0 H, 0 R, 0 E.

For those of you who are in management. There's a "new" theory in job interviews - at my place of business we call it "targeted selection". The theory is that "past performance predicts future behavior". The stats from last nights game seem to match what Muro has done in the GBL.

I'm just glad we got our first win of the second half...:D

The Music released outfielder Rick Simpson and they also traded leadoff hitter K. J. Hendricks to his hometown Fort Worth Cats (Texas) of the American Association, for infielder Steven Trout.

I wish KJ the best. It will be nice for him to play in his hometown, but the Tunes will miss him in the leadoff spot.
