So, let's say the United Football League gets off the ground (still not sure about that). What would the lineup look like? What is the goal of the league - to merge with the NFL or drive it out of business? The former is more reasonable, the latter unbelievable.

EASTERN DIVISION
Orlando - The Citrus Bowl would serve as a home for the team
Birmingham - Legion Field will have a new team to call home, joining the Americans, Vulcans, Fire and Stallions
New York - Shea Stadium? Giants Stadium may not be able to host three teams
Memphis - Left out of the NFL expansion race, and dissed by the Titans, maybe fans will warm up to another team
WESTERN CONFERENCE
San Antonio - The AlamoDome needs a tenant
Los Angeles - Toss up on a home...Rose Bowl, LA Coliseum?
Las Vegas - A possible major league city with a minor league facility (Sam Boyd Stadium)
Mexico City - Don't put it past Cuban.

* 14 games
* Top two teams make the playoffs
* Championship game to be in Orlando, San Antonio or Los Angeles.

** Just my view from the crystal ball **

I think that those are good choices. I especially believe that the team in New York should play in New York; Shea Stadium, Downing Stadium, or Hofstra University (so I read) may be good sites.
For L.A., maybe it would be better to start out in a smaller venue such as the Galaxy's stadium. I thought I saw somewhere that it seats about 30,000.
Living in Oregon, and being an old Portland Breakers season ticket holder, I would also like to see a team in Portland. Salt Lake City and Sacramento also seem like likely candidates to me.
I wonder when (or if) we will hear anymore on this league.
