I think 06er and the rest of the ABA are just mad that they don't know who their "enemy" or "competition" is. IMO, the PBL is smart by keeping things close to home until info is concrete.

I think it would be sweet revenge if some of the teams in the PBL are teams that the ABA office thinks will be playing in the ABA, and find out a month or two before the season starts that they are indeed playing in the PBL. This might not be far from the truth - think about how many teams have been extremely quiet. PBL has more time because their season starts later.

What would be even sweeter revenge would be if the PBL partnered with Jalooza & Comp., took the ABA license and formed a league that returns honor and integrity to minor league basketball - especially to the ABA name.

I know, I know...SERIOUS wishful thinking. I believe you wreap what you sew...just wondering when the wreaping will begin for all of this ABA madness!!!

I'm starting to think the "new game" and "new rules" that the PBL is talking about will be a modified FIBA game. Perhaps trapezoid lanes and FIBA 3-point line, but 12 minute quarters and NBA foul limits.

I could be wrong, then again, they didn't say anything as to what the "new rules" are. What game we "haven't seen before."

If they come out and say it's FIBA rules it's definately not new anything. Heck, the original IBL had FIBA rules I think. And we certainly have seen FIBA ball before.

I don't mind they keep a few things close to their vest, but come on now, don't make a claim and then not tell anyone what the rules are. The rules do affect who you may want to sign to your team, you know.

Still, 1,000X more credibility than the ABA at this point...

new rules should be like the NBA Summer league 10 fouls and then you're out :-)
but the new rules can be fiba rules along with a few modifications maybe the IBL inbounds rule or a larger 3 pt line. there has to be something to this league.
what a running clock that stops only for out of bounds, injuries and technicals?? still the league has more integrity and legitimacy than the aba

Yeah, I forgot about IBL. Silly me. Include immediate inbounds.

I had an idea...no foul outs but if you get 7+ personal fouls it's a "team technical" and a technical foul shot before the regular foul shot(s).

Would the PBL spend bucketloads of money to have floors painted in FIBA dimensions?

Guess I'm kind of doubtful about that one.

Of course, back to where this post belongs... anyone associated with ABA has no business LOOKING at this post to seek any enjoyment. Try selling me a 3-D light sometime and I'll give an answer befitting of where such equipment would be better placed.
