At $125 in advance and $175 at the door, the only source of income 90% of ABA teams will ever see are these ridiculous try out fees. If team owners are looking for the best talent available, why are they screwing these guys? Wouldn't owners make their money back 10 fold if they find talented players that fans would pay to see play?
Owners full well know that there will be nothing but empty seats at the Boys and Girls Club gym on game day. Sponsors will most assuredly pull out before their name is dragged through the mud from being associated with this rec-league. (Deleted by moderator)
