Ticketbreak Partners With The American Basketball Association
07/05/07 - American Basketball Association (ABA)

"This is the first of many exciting new initiatives that the ABA is undertaking," said Paul Riley, ABA Vice-President. "TICKETBREAK will provide ABA fans with the fastest, easiest on-line access to tickets for ABA games ever.
I'm not sure this should have been instituted for this upcoming season.
Maybe in 2008-2009 ... If 100% of games are played in '07-'08
Hopefully TICKETBREAK will also provide ABA fans with the fastest, easiest on-line access to ticket refunds for ABA games ever! :infun:

Companies like Ticketbreak make money on a percentage of the tickets SOLD, and since 99.999988% of all ABA tickets are COMPED, this does not make for a very profitable relationship for Ticketbreak.

Why is it ...
That the ABA can never manage or maintain an effective business relationship with anyone properly?
Hey ABA CEO ... Are you not in charge of things
Take a look:
http://www.ticketbreak.com/categories/sports/aba
Why is it that the ABA league office executives can't get organized and oversee the league
If they can't get the work done, why be part of the game!
Looking at the web page at ticketbreak ...
What a poor example of follow up, maintenence, monitoring and marketing.
Ever hear of 'managing your marketing plan?'
It's the ABA's responsibility; as a whole; league office and teams; to make sure that the league is reflected as being 100% up-to-date in every respect.

I myself am looking forward to that St. Louis Stunners vs. Anderson Champions
game on January 25th:eek:
Typical Joe: Make a deal, and let the other party do all of the following through.
Remember, If it wasn't for the Vermont organization showing the initiative,
the PlayOn deal would have been completely dead by now. In the end, Joe
will take full credit for those games being shown.
Maybe next they will sell MLB tickets for a Montreal Expos vs. Boston Braves game...

As in: Ask the CEO (April 2008).
Question from "Tom" in Rochester (and others) -- "Joe, how do you feel about
the 2007-08 ABA season as a whole?"
Answer: Thanks all, I would say this season had it problems but overall we
made it through them fairly well. We had an exciting playoffs, great followings
in Quebec, Vermont and Manchester. Overall, you don't know how many
positive responses I've gotten to this season. With our games being aired on
Playon, we've gottten overwhelming responses, and yes, we plan on incorporating
it in other cites next season. We have had many inquiries for franchises
for next season, and will once again be the fastest growing sports league in
the United States with over 60 franchises!!!
Small mention of "problems being addressed" here. Followed
by the "Wal-mart vs. Home Depot" story and "Even some McDonalds have
closed up in the past"...
End with the "Have a great summer and we will see you
in the fall!!!"
It isn't that hard to figure out...We've heard the same for the past 3 seasons
now...

I think its time for a section called Ask TheStandard and all the questions can be Joe Related and I give Joe Answers
Hasn't the ABA had "deals" with ticketing agents before?

"I'm sorry Mr. Newman. That's a no parking zone. I'm afraid I'm going to have to give you a ticket."

In addition to SF Rumble playing the Reno Sharpshooters they have a game listed for Sunday Jan 27 2008 7:05 PM
Manchester Millrats v. Corning Bullgods - January 27th.
Thats right the Bullgods
Has anyone who is associated with this league (leaque) ever clicked on this link?????????? (http://hooked-on-phonics.com/hooked-on-phonics-category.cfm?category_ID=21&cat=On%20Sale&AFID=122&redirCampID=56)
I guess poor ticketbreak got schedule version number 37 of 52. Poor Hester hasn't had a chance to get ticketbreak up to speed on some of bankrupt franchises'.
