Gee well PaulS sends me this message:
Hi Standard. Its PaulS here. I just want to warn you, feel free to pass this along to others as a PM, but I've heard that Joe has shouted lawsuit in relation to this board and the things people say.
I agree with 99 percent of what you say, just be careful how you word things. Don't call him a "thief" unless you can point something out.
I think this league is a blackeye on the face of all basketball but recently I softened up on Joe a bit. A lawsuit would be a pain in the neck. Just an FYI. Paul

We have a lawyer on the payroll and another lawyer as an adviser.
I brought this topic up out of curiosity more then anything else. It turns out the ABA could sue and the person(s) under the un-warranted personal attacks can also sue.
The person(s) would then have the option of going after the person making the attacks on the website or the website that the attacks are being posted on which in this case would be Our Sports Central, or they could go after both the person and the website.
If the judge in the case found probable cause and sided with the ABA or the person under attack the judge would most likely issue a supinea to Our Sports Central for the all of the records that pertain to the case.
Bottom line is when you post about someone’s hair style , integrity or make even more serious acquisitions such as calling them a thief or worse ect. , it all legally falls under defamation of character and you can very well be charged.
The lawyer also explained to me that the ABA actually has just as much grounds for a lawsuit as the person under attack if not more, because the CEO of the company's character directly correlates with the publicly traded company and any un-warranted comments against someone in high standing with the company would give the company grounds to sue and the judge would take this more serious then if it just had effected one person.
Bottom line is , if things are not cleaned up you might not only get yourself in trouble you could also get Our Sports Central shut down or the forums taken away by a Judge in a court of law.
I like being a poster on this forum , I like Paul who runs the site, we recently spoke on the telephone about the upcoming season. If you are not going to do it for yourself then at least step up to the plate and clean it up for Paul.

Good point Corning,.. then you should also follow it. For example, you sending the Rochester New York newspaper e-mails stating that The PBL will fold and that the Razorsharks will fold and are not a good organization, where does that fall?
Or saying that Razorsharks were at you tryour camp, A quick call and I find out that yes some college kids from Rochester did attend your try out camp, thats different from the razorsharks attending the camp. Understand facts?
And since Im talking about your try -out camp, interesting to hear that the few college kids that did show up said it was very unorganized. The players themselves ran the try outs...LOL
So...before you go lecturing on legal ethics, think about what you do.
Your age is showing.....
Concentrate on your product, spend less time e-mailing newspapers about other teams. As your CEO would say....shamefull.

A1sports,
Someone is pumping you the wrong info or you are just making things up as usual.
I do not know of any Rochester college kids who attended, but Nigel Moore who was on this past years Rochester Razorshark 2006-2007 squad all season long and was in the roatation until a knee injury attended as did James Brown who was on the 2005-2006 Rochester Razorshark team all season long and then didnt return because he plays pro football for the Rochester Radiers now.
Looks like you have been caught in a lie ?
I was told by all of the players who have played in the ABA in the past that this was the most professional tryout camp that they had been to. We bought uniforms for all of the players in attendence to wear , we purchased $200 worth of bottle waters and wheeled in two giant coolers to house the water in.
We also brought in College coaches to run the tryouts so that I could watch and scout. We had 5 Coaches/Scouts in attendence. Every coach and every scout was also in full matching uniforms. A Nike corning bulldogs polo shirt , khaki pants, black belt and black dress shoes.
If any one doubts that any of the above is true then I also have phone numbers of the players who were in attendence. It appears A1 Sports picked the wrong person to mess with because I back up when comes out of my mouth.
Good Day.

In addition to the above post.
We also flew in top of the line NCAA D-1 starters to attend the tryout camp , we purchased round trip airfair for them and put them up in hotel rooms at the expense of the Corning Bulldogs. We furthered this by taking the all out for meals and footing the bill as well.
The day after the tryout we signed two former NCAA D-1 star players. Al Stewart from Drake University who just recently broke the NCAA D-1 Drake University single season assist record along with the signing of 6'8 275 lbs power forward Will Campbell who had work outs with the Toronto Raptors before playing pro ball over seas in France where he averaged 17 points and 7 rebounds per game.
We take pride in running a classy tryout and taking care of players.
A1sports , it appears the joke is on you.

In addition to the above posts we also had TV Stations bring in crews to film the tryouts and interview players for maximum exposure , this excited the players very much as most of them had never witnessed this take place at a open try out camp which led in part to them saying that we held the most professional tryout camp that they had ever attended.

You are very creative...
But do the names, Dewan Justice, Kenny Strobel and Myiam Hunter ring a bell? These guys drove from Scranton PA to attend the camp. YUP remember? The ones who left after an hour becuase they said it was BS... and oh you yourself didnt want to give them there money back..which is your choice of course..As Dewan said...."I didnt come here to try myself out and get a pretty pair of pants" so.... you spin what you want, I post what I hear.....
and I didnt read your answer about why you insist on e-mailing the Rochester newspaper over and over about the PBL folding.....seems you have a lot of time on your hands. Again do what you need to do for your business...dont worry about others... Lets just wait and see what November brings.....

For a young guy in his first year, i think James is doing things right and doing a pretty good job
Small towns like where the Heaves play and little Corning are perfect for a team like this, everyone knows about the team, they get a ton of attention, and most if not all of their competition is local high school or junior college sports
I think Corning will be one of the few sucessful franchises in the league, so good luck James!

Thank you for the kind words.
It is unfortunate that we have to deal with a poster such as A1sports who was just caught in several lies. It was nice to expose him for what he is.
We take pride in how we treat players.
The poster named Tbayz has said that he believes that we will be the next Vermont Frostheaves , those are very kind words and we know that Vermont has set the bar high for this season and I wish you guys the best of luck and look forward to the showdown on the court.
Also I had a chance to meet with Mike Healey from the Frostheaves face to face , great guy.

Paul Reeths this is unbelievable and I would like something done about this. Those names mentioned above have never even been in contact with me or anyone from the Corning Bulldogs Organazation , and this is a 100% flat out lie. I still have the 20 player attendence roster in my possession, and can fax it to you along with phone numbers for my coaching staff.
If something is not done about this I will have my lawyers involved because those names I have never heard of let alone attend my tryout camp.

I also have in my posession the singatures of the 20 players who attended and showed up to the camp because they had to sign a release waiver, none of the names mentioned above were involved in the Corning Bulldogs Tryout Camp.
This is totally unbelievable , and I hope that A1 sports is finally being exposed for who he is.

Corning stop getting your panties all in a bunch. if its not true why bother running to paul like a little wuss? crying about it like a 3rd grader. Please if you know its not true say it once and stop crying. You sound like Joe crying and whining and say hey they were never there. show some documentation that they were never there and its proven.

A1sports went as far as to lie and bring up fake names of players who never attended a tryout camp held by the Corning Bulldogs inorder to try and tear down a ABA organazation who is doing things the right way.
If A1Sports is posting lies about me that is one thing but if you tell blatent lies and use them to attack my business then I have every right to go to Paul who moderates the site.

I have been given information to show that what a1sports posted about the Corning Bulldogs tryouts was false. I have the 20-man list of those who attended the tryout, and none of those names appear on it. In addition, Mr. Schutz has stated that no players asked for a refund following the tryout.
