Doyle and his partners are NOT stupid. They have the money to run a league.
Why wait to make announcements?

Well....... Just think about this:

No matter what Joe says. the law of the land still rules. With 2 major law suits being decided in the next 30 days MAYBE.....

a. When Jaloza and Fratela get 100% of the ABA handed to them, Doyle buys it. puts his PBL teams in it and the others can go scratch.

b. Doyle buys it and shuts it down

c. Fratela and Jaloza and Doyle are partners..they do what they want.

d. The 800,000 dollar judgement goes againist Joe and or the ABA and the players that are owed the money sell the judgement....to doyle !!

FACT: Joe cannot move the ABA license as he has the past 5 years....its a public company now and he cannot make another corporation and move it.
Check mate...its over.

Maybe thats why the PBL is waiting........

So, A1, you are saying that Doyle and team may in fact be trying to still get the ABA back, perhaps as the "ABA: Then Next Generation" - with new league rules, strict requirements, etc.?

And that the PBL is leverage to make this happen? (And a failsafe if it doesn't happen?)

There would seem to be too many liabilities to want the ABA back, unless Doyle is positioned to take them out in a single move. That would seem tough.

The one thing (based on what i have researched) that makes this sound feasible is that I cannot find where any of the PBL members or teams have had anything negative to say about the ABA perse.....whereas the converse really can't be said for the current ABA leadership speaking of the PBL.

I mean I haven't seen strong negative public comments about the ABA directly by senior PBL staff or other teams. (We all have ideas about who stirs the pot on these boards, but we don't know that they are sanctioned by the PBL.) Maybe they are trying to leave the door open.

Hmmm...maybe I do know what I'm talking about. PBL a failsafe if ABA isn't grabbed up...nice move. Oh, would I love to see the look on Joe's face if that happens! Wow...that would be humerous.

I don't know, though. There's a lot of baggage that would come with such a move. Hey...forget the concept behind that movie "Minor League"...this stuff beats that any day.

In my opinion and those of others in the basketball world....

Most would want the ABA to go away. The name is tranished and trashed.
Most reputable sports people know it.

I would pitch the following scenario..........>>>>

Doyle gets the ABA back, mouth balls it for a year to get rid of the stink,
then goes to stern and says here are 12 PBL teams for NBDL....change the name to ABA,....case closed. You now have major league NBA..farm system ABA, just like NHL - AHL,

Most would say not to use the ABA name for a while...it really does carry stench.

No want wants the ABA public company but many would want to acquire the ABA Assets! Namely the NBA /ABA license agreement. there presently is a deal cooking with Joe to buy the License and its not with Dolye or the CBA.\

Also Joe was served with a new lawsuit today from Boca Raton! Actually a old one which he never responded to.Don't know the details yet.

Boca Raton..... cross reference and you find Capital Growth Investors...

The law suit more than likely deals with the Brokerage company that raised the 1.9 million dollars for the ABA...Looks like they want it back...LOL

so does the Maryland and Rochester owners since they were the only others to invest in the ABA

Thats my guess on what was served to Joe...

Its closing in Joe...feel it?

Did I see an new company formed June 18, 2007 in Indiana...>>ABA BBAll LLC???? nahhhhhhh you couldnt have?

Are you SERIOUS????? So, basically this man creates shell companies so he can hide from the lawsuits that are stacking up against him? I am not a lawyer, just a journalist who doesn't know jack about the law.

A1, where did you find the information? Trust me, I don't doubt you, there are just certain things I have to see for my own eyes.
