View Full Version : York's new ballpark

I was lucky enough to have witnessed the 13 inning 1-0 Revs win vs Somerset over the weekend. Very exciting game.

As for the ballpark itself (keeping in mind it's still under construction), overall I liked it alot.

The exterior is kind of disappointing but I imagine it will be a little nicer when finished. Camden and Somerset are better. York's outside appearance will probably eventually be on a par with Newark and Lancaster.

It's the interrior that makes York rank #1 with respect to Atlantic League stadiums particularly the way the outfield seats wrap around the field. The 4,313 fans Saturday night were totally into the game and the wrap-around feature coupled with the 30 foot wall in left results in a magnified sound effect. The hand operated scoreboard looks good as well as the biggest video board in minor league baseball. Too bad they put a merry-go-round in left center - which has to be a little distracting to hitters - cause otherwise it would be perfect.
