Spectrum, Global, SMG and other sports complex management companies now know about the rec league the ABA. They more than likely will only rent their professional facilities with a letter of credit a deposit or both. This is because these companies have been burned by the ABA teams who lock up dates then fold and the venue is caught with out someone using the facility for that night. True it only applies to some ABA teams since most use high school gyms and junior college auditoriums or in the case of Vermont old non regulation basketball floor museums.
So Joe's model is correct, the league is a rec league that should only use high school gyms for abpout 100 bucks a night. Semi-pro would be too good a description of this league.
