Excellent stuff.
Steve Grogan, while being the best QB in Pats history not named Bledsoe/Brady, also has the pleasure of being the worst starting quarterback of Tecmo Super Bowl fame! That's worth more than any of that stuff!!!

Yea,Steve really was a good quarteback, but he got a bum rap on that game. If you used the Pats, your only chance was to toss it up to Irving Fryar and hope for a miracle. :-D

Thing is, that defense wasn't all that bad in Tecmo. If Fryar was 'good' or 'excellent,' he was able to make the plays downfield, the jumps, and the big catches just enough for the Pats to win with that defense.
If Fryar wasn't in good or excellent condition, though, the Pats were going to have to get a long KO return or three, a great defensive performance (perhaps even with a pick-six), or a busted play where Grogan could run for 25 yards to win. That doesn't happen very often.
