First of all I would like to thank all the people who I have spoken with reguarding The Bakersfield Scream Tryout in July. After carefull consideration and the the ABA coming into the Bakerfield area we have decided to fold the league before we start and cancel the try outs for July 10th........again to all on you who contacted me and expressed interest in playing in the league I thank you.........and The best of luck to the new ABA team coming to Bakersfield.

I was trying to follow your proposed league and was confused as to the league's actual name. Was it the Women's Western Basketball League, the Western Women's Basketball League, a western region/division of the Regional Development Women's Basketball League, or did it simply break away from the RDWBL?

I had three team names that were proposed for the league--Bakersfield, Reno Freedom, and North Shore Breakers. Were there any others?

I noticed from the Freedom's web site that they have moved forward with some sort of independent schedule, so I guess the RDWBL experiment with a western region is off?

After some talking with team owners we have decided to go on with the plans for the League, in late Sept. we will announce the teams and the tryouts, and the start of the season in May, along with the conformed teams.
