I was listening to the game last might and Sherrill came out due to an injury after stealing a base. The announcer speculated that it looked like a hemstring injury.
Just curious if anyone had any other info. The broadcast tonight will be joined in progress after the NBA playoffs conclude so the game will be nearly over by the time it comes on.
Sherrill, Johnson, and Hall are our highly touted outfielders. They all have started off pretty slow but Sherrill is doing the best right now with a 1 HR, 4 RBI, and 2 SB on the young season.

DOn't know a thing about the player injury, but couldn't you listen to the web broadcast so you can hear the whole game?

Is the player J.J. Sherrill? He played for the United Baseball League last season? If so,he's good.

Yeah, same guy. When he, Hall, and Johnson start firing on all cylinders, it will be a great time for the Sox. Now if the bullpen can just get on track, we'll do well this year for sure.

Our radio broadcaster said he was injured when he tried to steal a base and didn't make the trip to Yuma. They expect him back for the next homestand so if that is the case he will only be out for 6 games in 7 days.
I do wish they'd do better on the injury reports as well. All of this I hear from the announcer and he seems like he is just guessing as well.
As I write this Reno blew a 4 run lead early, got it back, blew that 4 run lead, and now are down 15-10 after 7. The ineffectiveness of the the bulpen (pre-season pick for closer Marshall Plouffe and the others imploded again) and the continuous fielding errors are killing the Sox. Jordan Devoir has 7 errors of the 14 so far (in the 8th game).

The pitching in the different leagues seem to have more quality pitching. While the outfielders and infielders are no quality this year.Very surprized.
