OPBA OFF AND RUNNING

Well the newest and best new league is off and running, and thats the Ontario Professional Basketball Association.

This league will do well because there are people committed to making it work, that are running the league, unlike the ABA, which is really becoming a bigger joke everyday.

In fact, the USBL better beware, because by next season, this league will be in direct competition for players, and I think the OPBA may be a better league.

The fiasco in saint louis, the fiasco in florence, the fiasco in andirondack, and the always fiasco in brevard, lends itself for a league that is vulnerable.

Before you dis the BREVARD BLUE DUCKS (USBL),keep in mind that while they might have had a talent-challenged squad in 2004,their franchise was the best advertisement in history for the value of putting Thunderstix in the hands of their fans.The Blue Ducks had 4 THUNDERSTIX promotions in 2004; they had a 4-0 record in those games and a raucous home crowd that was obviously terrifying to their opponents.Their record in all other games was 1-21.I dont think I have ever seen a statistical split quite like that.
