It's like some kind of "ill-advisable" expansion sickness has hit the masses. This sickness also seems to cause one to fantasize when speaking to reporters...and it's often the same fantasy. "If I can't find a venue, then I will build an arena myself." :roll:

You can't fault people for dreaming. But that is just it, when you are dreaming, you are also sleeping. As in not paying attention to the immediate surroundings!

I personally have looked at what it would cost to build a cost efficient but nice basketball arean/gym/whatever. Then factor in the franchise cost and the burden of owning the arena and team and then you lose your hair. I am not sure why you would build an arena where you dont currently live, own a team where you dont live, or have interest where you dont live! It be like me to want to own a team in Maine.
