View Full Version : NIFL or APFL team ???
I read this week on the APFL site of the Texas Thunders next game.
It says it is playing Sunday, May 23rd at 4:00 in Beaumont,TX.
Is that not the same time and place that Waco is playing against the Drillers ??
There is also talk currently of the Thunders plan to join the NIFL in 2005.
Why not look at the IFL ??
Can anyone let me know what they know on this topic. Thanks PJC

Maybe they are taking over the Waco Marshals organization and playing out the 2004 NIFL season as the Waco Marshals.
The Texas Thunder are an independent team this season who played a majority of their schedule in the APFL. The will be playing Waco this weekend, and their squad is much improved since playing the Koyotes. Pretty much changed all the faces from roster to new coaches. Believe they will try to hop into the NIFL next year out of San Antonio.
Well... I am not sure.. but..
I think they are playing the Beaumont Drillers...
And am assuming.. AS the Waco Marshalls?
If this is true.. They had better be much improved..
The Kansas Koyotes if I recall beat them 68-0...
Too bad though... I thought the "same" team might give us an idea on the quality of the Koyotes..
With a view from the outside... I would think they would try to get into the IFL.. Which at this point... Is what I think the Koyotes should do.. Course.. I thought they should have done what they could to get into the NIFL this year... HEH... So what do I know..
Well PJC... I posted this same question over on the NIFL message boards..
(Only of course due to your picking up on this mystery)..
I was informed that the Waco Marshals only had a few players from the Thunder and they were much improved... How true that is and exactly how many Thunder players were rostered as Marshals... I don't know..
But contrary to the OSC posted score of Waco 73 vs. Beaumont 3...
Beaumont won the game..
Leaves the question.. Much improved from what?
And although one "same opponent" score can give you a small measure of your abilities..... I'm not sure blowouts like 68-0 and 73-3 can..
I was of course referring to the Kansas Koyotes..
