I was over on the Arena Football League's website and noticed that they were using a pink football today. Well not entirely pink but it had a pink stripe and laces on it instead of the usual blue.
I thought I'd post this here in case some of you football fans had wanted to support breast cancer research but were afraid the pink wasn't manly enough for you. In their online store (www.arenafootballstore.com) they are selling both authentic and mini "pink" footballs on their site, with portion of the proceeds going to breast cancer research. The authentic, full-size footballs are $84.99 (US) and the miniature footballs are $9.99 (US). Great deal for the miniature footballs and to support breast cancer research even better. With my mom being a survivor, I'd encourage everyone to buy a football as the more money that can be raised for breast cancer research the better.
If this is too much like spam, I apologize and feel free to delete this thread Paul. If you see a carbon copy on other football boards, I'm not trying to spam, I just think this a great idea and other football fans (or sports fans in general) would be interested in this.
