CASPER, WY-----"It is with extreme disappointment that we must announce that the Wyoming Cavalry's scheduled road game against the Denver Aviators will not take place today," says Cavalry Director of Business Operations, Argeri Layton.

"The venue location in Colorado set for today's game has not been set up in order to properly host an indoor football game. Our organization will not speculate on the reasons surrounding the situation nor will we jeopardize the integrity of our organization. The Cavalry organization will not be thwarted in our mission to provide the Cavalry fans and supporters with a LONG-TERM professional sports team asset. We will do whatever is necessary to provide the best, family-friendly, sports entertainment, and we look forward to ending the 2007 season as a championship contender."

ONLY THREE HOME GAMES OF THE REGULAR SEASON LEFT. Buy your tickets for the next Cavalry home game, Saturday, May 12, at the Casper Events Center when the Cavalry host the Wild Riders. Pre-game festivities begin at 6:30 pm - kick -off is at 7 pm.
Thank you for your continued support.

If you read between the lines, you can pretty much conclude that they are done with the NIFL and will switch leagues next year.

When it comes to the CAVS, I'm not going to read between the lines. ARGERI is the person who put the NIFL schedule together this season! I know this is an absolute FACT!

This league is a FREAKING JOKE and the CAVS are just another one of the teams that allow themselves to be put in this situation. If they really gave a damn about their fans, they would have left the NIFL before this season.

It really didn't matter who put the schedule together this season. It was a lost cause before the season began. The plan to put together 17 league/Cleveland Gary owned expansion teams could not work. Mrs. Layton did the best with what she was given.

I do agree, however, that the Cavs put themselves in this situation. They could have gone elsewhere in the offseason. Instead, the Laytons put their trust in Cleveland Gary, Carolyn Shiver and the NIFL.

And we all pray that they will know better next year...

Hope to see you in the UIF for 2008, Cavs!

It doesn't matter who put the schedule together. Do you really think the Cav's would have put this schedule together to have all these cancellations and problems. The schedule was supposed to be more region oriented for less travel expenses. Which it was. They were asked to help out and thats all they have been doing all year. So don't blame the Cav's thats ludicrious. Fact of the matter is they were caught, and lied too just like everybody else. And they do care about thier fans. If they didn't this community would not continue to support them. It's the NIFL that doesn't care not the Cav's!

I hope that the Cav's FINALLY see the writing on the wall and bail out of the NIFL. It was fantasy last season when the Cav's put out the "Nope, nothing is wrong in the NIFL" news report, and its time to swallow the franchise fee it will take to move to a good league, and just do it. The Cav faithful deserve the best option out there, and its the UIF if you're in Wyoming.

I know that you are a loyal fan of the Cavs, but they were well warned about this last summer and chose this path. They are responsible for the damage the league is doing to their reputation and standing with their fans. They had an opportunity to change it and now they are paying for that mistake - which appeared so obvious to many of us.

They actually helped the league perpetuate this fraud by putting their stamp of approval on it. Their credibility was used (in part) to sucker more people and create the monster that is the NIFL.

They can't claim they didn't know. Ownership from Billings, Rapid City, St. Louis and Tri-Cities all spoke openly of what was going to happen - and it did. You have to lie in the bed you make.

AllAces don't get me wrong they did willingly put themselves in this situation I do agree with that for sure. Last year was definately the worst year before this one. They were wood and swayed again with empy promises and they know now they made a major mistake I'm sure they will admit it when it is all over this year. Next year they will have to move to another league or give it up. They are saying that they are not giving up having Professional football in Casper so that says to me they are moving becasue this league is all but done.

GoCavs - Good! They are right. The fans in Casper do deserve a professional football team. They are loyal and high quality. I have been to one game there last year and was really impressed with all of you. Your enthusiasm was second only to Billings (sorry).

But, I will not chance the travel to watch an "all-star" game with a team that doesn't exist.

Next year the Cavs will make up all of this to their fans. But, it should have been this year.

I will continue to be ticked about it this year and then please when they make good decisions next year.
