Anyone know anything about the "Santa Fe" team?
It's one of two teams on the current teams tab on abalive.com that doesn't have any information listed.

I'm wondering if it is the ownership group of "New Mexico Style" that became El Paso {that never got off the ground}

Nothing in the New Mexico media about this.

Is it possible that any city would have a slow enough news day that an ABA team would be a story? ........4 teams in Chicago in 4 years, and not one fraction of an ounce of newspaper ink wasted on them.

Teams keep joining up, getting screwed, cancelling games, disappearing then crying about Newman. Good for you idiots!!

Well, let's see why this would be reported in Santa Fe, New Mexico if it were happening???

THERE IS NOTHING TO DO IN SANTA FE!!!

Team Native America was reported here. {Remember that fiasco?}

The Santa Fe New Mexican even did a video story on the New Mexico Style.

I can understand having to figure out how to navigate the Chicago media...but Santa Fe?

I can understand the lack of action in Santa Fe, but would an ABA team solve that problem? Imagine Mom, Dad and the kids pack up for a ride to the game on a Saturday evening. When arriving in the parking lot, they notice no cars, and a handwritten sign on the arena door .........GAME CANCELLED. TRAVEL PROBLEMS. I'm sure high schools in Santa Fe play basketball. Spend your money there, support a neighborhood school and team. You are guarenteed that the game will be played, the game next week will be played, and the team will play next year also. I'm sure the high school team would appreciate fan support and the attention. At least every high school game is played on the same sized court with real uniforms. This ABA rec-league is a complete waste of time.

to a certain extent, WHA. Some of the teams are doing well, depending on the owners, as other posters have noted in other forums. A fact you seem to be disregarding for some reason.
As far as the N.M. Style, apparently even the video story that ran in their local paper did not help to bring enough supporters out. If the Style ownership would promote them in the right way(imo), chances are they would get fans to the games. But the downfall, that I see with the ABA, is that they have no goal for the players who dream of going to the top. I think this is why a lot of teams have left for other leagues.

ABA basketball is like going to a strip club where no women get naked........built up to excite, every man likes the potential product, but in the end, you end up limp and frustrated. The strippers change, they remodel the club, but you ultimately end up sitting alone with the Victoria's Secret catalogue you took from your neighbors mailbox. Minor league basketball teasers !!!!!
