I'm glad to see he found his way onto a team this year after getting cut buy the Chicago Cubs for god knows whatever reason. Sad to see him depart from the MLB system, but I think it's for the better. He's got another 8-10 seasons in him, so maybe he can become a legend in the Atlantic League.

The guy's a extra-base hitting, base stealing MACHINE. Last year when he hit Memphis after being a benchwarmer for Oklahoma he went bonkers with like 5 triples, doubles, and a grand slam or two, including a game winning walk-off home run.

Best of luck to Derek. Kick some ass for Long Island!
