The WBA's recent announcement about its 2007 teams has both Wilson (NC) and Atlanta with the Hardhats nickname. An article in the Wilson Times promotes an upcoming tryout for the Wilson Hardhats, but I am not sure if Hardhats is also the nickname of the Atlanta team.
Two teams - Marietta Storm and Chatooga Rage(?) - from the WBA's draft day teams only two days ago are no longer around.
Anyone have some information on this merry-go-round of team changes?

I think that the WBA took a step backwards with this. How can Wilson advertise and market a team with no time to do so? Doesnt the season begin next week? I live in Rocky Mount (15 miles north of Wilson) and havent heard one thing. What is worse, I am in a basketball community and usually hear of the top pick up games in the region (Kinston, Greenville, Raleigh) and you would think a professional team would be notable.
On a side note, how can a league of eight teams have two nick named "Hard Hats"?
I think the WBA just took a step closer to the minor league grave yard with the most recent moves, including dropping two teams that drafted players, naming a small town that has a baseball team to compete with (sponsorship dollars, not fans), owners being jailed, etc.
