So-so performance overall, especially this early in the season with guys fighting for minutes.

I was told by more than one person that Delaware is now being funded by the league. Not sure if it's a permanent situation.

I did run into the team getting into their van to head to the arena at about 5:45, which seemed kinda late to me. One of the coaches was asking them individually, "you want to play?" Somebody said "let's just finish this out and we don't have to come back."

I'm assuming they were talking about the road trip, not the league.

That Kyle Myrick was a pretty tough little scorer for them. He had 26 points on 12 of 26 shooting. He's deceptively quick.

I'd like to see Lionel Davis and Harvey Thomas get more minutes for Kansas. I think they might want to consider trimming the roster by a player or two, but I can't find anybody to agree with me.

I think 12 is too many and at what these guys are paid I'm sure they want to play. Anthony Richardson had a nice game going but didn't play much late.

And, there's long been talk of Keith Langford joining the team. If that happens, they might as well cut two, because he'll want -- and likely earn -- more than 15 to 17 minutes per game.

I would guess the cut might be Michael Lee. Sheldon Pace is the team's best PG and I think they like Brendan Plavich's perimeter offense and hustle. Lee plays hard but he could be the odd man out.

Or they could release Darrell Johns and just go with one fewer big man. They could get by without him and he doesn't fit in with the athleticism of the others.

OK, I'm done thinking aloud.

I've got the box here. I see the KW kid didn't even suit up. James Williams isn't doing much of anything on offense this season, but he is rebounding (to think they were touting him as an NBA prospect at Brown Mackie).

What was the score of the game...I didn't think Delaware was that bad when we played them....we just blew them out in the third quarter.

How was the crowd and how was the Devin Brown ceremony? Did Chris Paul and the Honeybees show up?

Cagerz won 95-85. What, you can't get a score off the USBL site?

Delaware had lead after three quarters, then Billy Thomas scored the Cagerz first 15 points of the final quarter to rescue them.

Announced crowd was about 1400, I thought more would show, but Devin played just one season and it was back in 2002.

I would guess there were about 1000 people in attendance.

The Cagerz suited up Anthony Smith of Wesleyan, but he didn't play. He and Faubion will alternate suiting up at home games.

The Honeybees were there --- for those who don't know, one of them is Jason Miller's wife. No Chris Paul.

James Williams is struggling with his shooting and considering most of his attempts are within 10 feet of the bucket, that has to be a concern. He seems to have a hard time grasping the ball.
