should be fun atmosphere. we had roughly 3,400 actual (4,200 paid) last game and i expect this crowd to be bigger. team is 2-0 against perhaps 2 best teams in league (themselves excluded) and for a change they are getting exposure here on TV news, etc which has helped i think. if they can come back from 2 game road trip to play San Angelo on 5/19, either 5-0 or at least 4-1, i got to think place could be near filled.
would you believe Alaska's team is already here as of today(tuesday)?! they even practiced at civic center today. only thing i can think and itd be crazy is maybe b/c team is on 2nd game of incredible 5 game road swing that maybe they are STAYING on road whole time?! (busing place to place) why else would they be here this early? cant practice at home for some reason maybe? Ill try to ask around if i can.
who is coming, and of you Beaumont guys? I dont see any home games for either Katy of the Copperheads.

I was disappointed in the Wild; however I have to give them credit. They could easily have lost their cool or just laid down, but they did neither. They were a class act in that regard. I would have hoped they would have put a better team on the field and maybe once around the league they'll realize they have to make some major improvements in talent to be competitive. Their only TD was on a kickoff return and I think they only made it across mid-field 2-3 times and at least one was due to our kickoff blunder. Granted ... our defense is awesome, but in this league anyone should be able to put up 30-40 points a night. I hate to think what would have happened if we had a QB for that game. Keith Smith did great in an emergency, but Freddie would have shredded that defense.

so far the Swashbucklers are the top of the league when it comes to team defense.. and they have played the 2 and 3 teams along the way to get that honor..... That speaks volumes
